How do you feel about this season, particularly with the bad economy. I'm hugely disappointed at the inconsistent effort and results. It's not just about the money spent on the tickets, but also the time/effort to get to and from games during the evening after a full day's work. I wanted season tickets for decades. Literally decades. I finally get to a point in life where I can have them, and I cannot believe that I'm not that excited about going to the game recently. In the last 2 weeks, I've given more tickets to friends and family, and I watch the game at home on TV. When I go, I'm happy and hope for a good performance. But this isn't the experience I had in mind.
I have a 14 game package and obviously this season hasn't been what we all hoped for, but I still make the best of my time when I do go to the games. Thankfully, I've only been to three losing games this season (Boston, Dallas, Lakers), all of which had relatively exciting endings. I still enjoy going.
1. I get angry when they don't show effort on defense and/or miss switches. If found myself booing the team for the first time in years during q1 of the minnesota game. My sense is that the crowd will turn on them if they lay another egg like that at home. 2. I think that defensive teams are more fun to watch as fans tend to be more vocal on d than o. 3. This years team is kind of mediocre and boring. I also find myself giving away tickets. However, this year I give'm away pretty easily - last year you'd think I was handing out steaming t*rds with the problems I had unloading them.
Hey, at least you have season tickets! I would sure love to be able to get them but I probably would rather stay at home as of this point and watch them on T.V. I feel where you're at kinda.
