Agree with you to a certain extent. If a certain player on the rockets had done their rehab this offseason like they were suppose to do (and owed it to the franchise and his contract), the rockets record would currently be alot different than what it is and we wouldn't even be talking about this dissention stuff. The dissention started months ago with the rockets best player giving a half hearted effort and I don't believe it was started by Ron Artest. This team should be 6 or 8 games better than what they are right now even while playing injured. This has been a fragmented season with T-Mac, Battier and Artest in and out of the lineup. Tons of frustration all around.

"We have a very good locker room. We're close. It just like you have two brothers. You would not hug each other your entire life."

That is what Yao said about this situation. Now I'm not saying things are fine and dandy but I don't think its that bad. Its not always peaches and flowers in the NBA locker room, even with the good teams. Look at how KG made BIG BABY cry like a big baby. Kobe b****es at his teammates all the time when things aren't going their way. If Artest is not moved by the deadline, it must have not been that bad. But if he is traded, we will know why.

and the reason that this place can be so steeped in groupthink is because everyone goes off the opinions of fans instead of going out and finding out what the facts are.

you say justice doesnt know anything about the rockets? ok fine, then why does what he's saying agree with what Adelman says, and what Blinebury says, and what Artest himself says?

i guess none of them know anything either?

    come on.

    yes, Yao did say that.

there are a lot more things that Yao has said. :)

and don't put the litmus test down as whether people are traded. there are a lot of politics and financial complications that go into the feasability of making trades, particularly for star players. especially for certain teams.

when you start seeing trust on the court, when you start seeing team ball being played, then go ahead and assume its constructive criticism. but as long as the team is playing as a group of individuals who don't trust each other and are only out to do their part in dodging blame, well, i think the opposite is a reasonable conclusion.

McGrady wasn't asked his opinion of the trade, in part, because Morey worried his answer might be negative when he intended to make the deal anyway.

I thought when the trade happened they asked T-mac what he thought about the trade before it happened? Guess I was wrong.

I still think this Artest/T-mac feud is overblown.

There is way too much unecessary drama on this team. I wish Yao woud take the lead, tell everyone to shut the hell up and play ball like you are on a mission. But that would be way too easy, therefore "As the world turns, so are the days of our lives".

He makes a good point - they should talk to each other, not through the papers.

No according to McGrady he approved the trade, he even said so. Justice probably doesn't have his facts straight or Grady was just lying.

When people on this MB make trade proposal it seems like they just ignore what the other team wants.

Like who seriously thinks the Suns would trade Amare for T-mac and a filler.

Have you ever read a Justice article, because if you have, you would know that NOTHING he says is watered down, and absolutely NOTHING he says is the truth. If you don't believe me, go read his articles about Rick Smith (Texans GM). He downright INSULTS him on more than one occasion (calls him classless, insecure, petty, etc.). Now why would a local reporter burn such an important bridge you might ask. I'll tell you. It's because Rick Smith fired the Texans' Strength and Conditioning coach, who just happened to be a buddy of Dickie J's. Forget the fact that we've lead the league in injuries, and forget the fact that the techniques he was using were old and outdated. Justice has got to be the WORST journalist I have ever seen, and that comes from his lack of accountability and knowledge that no matter what he says, he can just backtrack the next day and say the exact opposite, and nobody will call him out on it. This is a direct result of the Chronicle not having any competition. One thing I have seen about Blinebury AND Justice is that neither one of them cares too much about how the local teams look in the eyes of the fans. If reporting that the team is falling apart from the inside is what will sell the most papers, they will use old rumor mill stories and out-of-context quotes to paint that picture. Blinebury seems like he's just a pessimist, and that's his style of writing, so I don't really have an axe to grind with him....but Justice is scum, in my opinion. When you can literally go date by date, and find two conflicting opinions of his within months of each other, you know you're a terrible writer. It's not a coincidence that he is ostracized from the Texans locker room after what he did to Mario Williams.....and then he turns around and writes that Mario isn't a nice guy, and is not media friendly. Well no crap, Dick. You were the torch-bearer of the "Mario Sucks" mob for months after we made that pick, and then all of a sudden, after VY (your idol and man-crush) and Reggie both faltered, you decided that he was the best thing since Reggie White. I would hate to have to live with him. "I want eggs for breakfast....no wait, cereal....no, I want eggs. Why did you give me eggs?!? I said I wanted cereal!!" Pathetic.

Well, I agree with you on one thing at least, the messageboard is filled with groupthink at times.

I don't care for Fran Blinebury myself, however, Richard Justice writes articles I agree with at times.

Why not? News websites talk about trade rumors ALL THE TIME and nothing ever happens. Maybe the deal was being discussed, but maybe not.

This is exactly the reason why Justice can get away with pulling this off. Because it can't be proven untrue, and people will believe him because he has credibility. With **** like this, I tend to not believe it unless the actual parties come out and say it.
