Why should he want to score 20+ a night when 16 will do? Tmac is playing team ball, he isnt gonna be the old score all the time tmac. If that means a win for the team, then im good. I'd prefer 10 points in a Rocket win rather than 35 points in a loss.
I'll make a bold prediction too... I predict we will trade Artest for Mike Miller soon. Mark my words!
Man you guys need to wake up, he's not going to be the T-Mac of old, it's not something he can control... he plays like he's in his late 30's.. he'll have a few good games here and there, but his health just won't let him be what he was....
If we could get Foye from that team I would be excited. Mike Miller for Artest straight up would do. I like the idea of Miller and Mcgrady playing together again. They are great friends and wouldnt be suprised if that translated to good basketball.
His is shooting very, very well this year from beyond the arc. Last season he was 28-29% and this year he is 38-40%. When he gets an open 3 (he sees a lot of open 3s when they double Yao) it is money in the bank.
I hope your right too stobbart. Without T-Mac at least at 70-80% by the playoffs, the team doesn't go very far unless Golden State or the LAC make it
Reading all the comments on this board, I think it's clear T-Mac can't do anything right; here are some examples Rockets Win, T-Mac scores 25+ - "Why doesn't he want to play team ball?; he doesn't pass the ball to Yao" Rockets Lose, T-Mac scores 25+ - "He needs to play team ball; He can't do it himself" Rockets Win, T-Mac scores 16-20 - "He's not the same player, he needs to do better" Rockets Lose, T-Mac scores 16-20 - "T-Mac sucked, needs to pick up the offense" TBH, I don't care if T-Mac puts up Jason Kidd like numbers (9/8/7), as long as we win. It's clear he has improved since he came back from his time off, he's running back on defense, is playing within the team, and is attacking the basket. Is his explosiveness back? Absolutely NOT!!! But with time, I expect that to be back to normal (at least close to it). We are inconsistent because as a TEAM we don't bring it on DEFENSE every night. Once that starts happening, you will see the wins....
