Tmac is just a p***y...he's not a man. If you can't stand and face the truth (and what Artest said is true), then you're not a man!! If you want to hold the team accountable for your defensive weakness, then you're not a man. To be a man, you must look yourself in the mirror and admit the true about your defensive weakness. Tmac is never known as a leader, vocally and competitively. It's proven on the court and off the court. On the court, he does not show the desire to take over the game (like Kobe and Lebron) when the team need a basket. Rather than driving to the basket and drawing fouls or do SOMETHING to get the team back into the game or change the momentum of the game, he choose to take jump shot or pass to his teammates. Off the court, he's never cheer for his teammates or do something to encourage his teammates which is an indicative of someone that is not born to be a leader.

It's pretty sad. Everyone knows that we need tracy if we're going to compete for a championship. He's a huge difference maker when healthy. I think our recent problems are just chemistry issues due to injuries and inconsistant lineups. I think its quite ridiculous to just point to one guy. Mcgrady has struggled, but hes certainly not the only one. Battier, alston, Brooks, Artest...All of our perimeter players have been off. The only consistant guys this year have been Yao, Scola, and Landry.
I have no problem with Ron calling out McGrady for two reasons: 1. Morey and Adelman won't call him out and those "meetings" they had with him where they asked him to show up to games and practice once in a while did nothing. 2. The only time McGrady gives 100% is when he is questioned publicly. Sad but true. I'm not saying Ron is getting it done on the court because he isn't but that doesn't mean he can't call out the highest paid player on the team for giving the least amount of effort.
I see this as a great sign as to what Adelman does. This is a "hey, it might look bad but I know exactly what I am doing" situation. To me, it's like he told the press and all of his players to calm down and shut up about the locker room situation. The man has been in the league for a very, very long time, he obviously has an idea of what he is doing. Just because he doesn't blast his players in the press doesn't mean the players don't respect him. We all know Artest is a volatile player. McGrady is in the midst of his worst season since his first 2. A lack of effort will put everyone on edge. We're a few wins from having the best locker room in the league, just as when Boston was slipping people were saying KG was too emotional. The negatives always emerge after losses. Rick might look too passive, but I see a calm, methodical side of him that I hope will pass on to our players. This team is no better or worse than when Van Gundy was here, so I don't know why we're calling for Adelman's head just yet. We haven't had a healthy roster for 15 games, and we're still in the playoff hunt. As long as we get in, I'll take our chances against anyone not named the Lakers.
the only people who can call out tracy this year are yao and scola b/c they've been the team's most consistent players. ron can't call tracy out when he's been just as injured, played just as bad, and has his own issues with teammates (rafer called him out too). if yao and scola called out tracy, nobody would say a thing b/c the only people who can talk smack are those who bring it every night. and the only players who have done that this year consistently are yao and scola.
Did anyone notice the after game interview with T-mac after the wolves game when T-mac was acting sarcastic with the reporter. He looked and sounded like a smart @$$ when he said "D-Fence is the word of the night, the word of the week" almost like he was sending a message to Ron.
Well, whenever he didn't play well, he would say "we didn't play well". That's enough. It is really up to him to not talk to much. He has too much drama on him through the years.
I don't think he threw too many guys under the bus... there's Spanoulis, I guess. He was even pretty contrained on Bonzi. There was Francis and the Super Bowl thing. He typically doesn't single guys out in the media.
Ron is just saying to T-Mac what everyone on this board would like to say to him if they had the chance. Tru Warier!
exactly what ive been saying. people say tmac talks too much, but it's because he gets interviewed a lot. but he never says bad things about his teammates. he even constantly praised rafer despite the dude's obvious digging at tmac. i would tend to agree with you, but part of me thinks that it's probably because of what jvg taught them. i think tmac subscribes too much into help defense. when his guy blows by him, he usually doesnt keep in step with his guy because he half expects his bigs to defend the lane. that's how they worked under jvg. help defense was amazing. also, on fastbreaks, i always notice that tmac never goes after the person attacking the basket and he doesnt contest the shot. i think it's because he knows that if you defend the fast break, there's only a small chance that you deny the basket without giving up the foul. worst case is you get injured defending a breakaway basket. that's why when people kept bringing up the jamario moon dunk and tmac giving up, i didnt put too much weight on it. it's not the first time tmac gives up on breakaway baskets. they really need to fix their defensive sets. if no one's doing help defense, then it's time for tmac to realize that and clamp down on his assignment man-to-man.
