It's been my experience that smaller is better for the gym. I guess the iPod Nano is a good choice for that criteria, but I've never owned one due to the ridiculous cost. I had a Sandisk Sansa e250 that i bought off of Woot.com, it worked great for the price, and it was super durable.
got the Creative Zen Stone Plus (same as the Stone, but with a speaker) and its fantastic, it comes with a plastic silicone case with a clip, so its easy to clip to your shorts, use mine regularly when on the treadmill
The Sansa you speak of is the same one I bought off of woot as well. The problem is if I have the volume turned up louder it runs the battery out quicker.
Thanks, I hadn't seen that version of the Stone with a speaker. Which headphones are you using with that bad boy?
I bought my Mom the Zen Stone for Christmas and my wife and I both liked it so much after we had played with it a little that we got one each for our workouts.
http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0304574 these are pretty sweet for the price. the only complaint is that the clip part of the clipon should be the other way but for $20, it's pretty solid.
I use a Sansa clip that I bought at Best Buy...little, clips on my shorts and works great... Sansa Clip I wouldn't want a nice one when I'm running, lifting at the gym b/c I always drop it...
step 1: get a phone with microSD slot step 2: purchase a 16g miscroSDHD card step 3: ????? step 4: success
i got this similar item over at Fry's, its good, but the random feature sucks. I organized a folder with a bunch of random songs, like 50 of them, I heard the same song 3 times after Fast Forwarding through 20 songs, which frustrated me. the Sansa clip is good too, my dad has that, works good also.
