Lots of us are not happy with the Rockets for underachieving-- blaming chemistry, blaming TMac being lazy, Ron being crazy, Adelman, Yao, Rafer... etc. But besides Boston, LA, Orlando and Clevelan, no other team has a record that much better than the Rockets. What wrong with them?
well the expectation was that the big three of rockets will lead us to top in the league. but right now we are not in the same level as the big four (boston, la, orlando and cavs). We are only the 6th seed in the West. is this where we expected them to be? no.
we're on par with the Hawks. there are 8 teams in the NBA with better records than us. teams like Portland, Denver, and the Hawks are overachieving right now, so they are happy where they stand. the Spurs are leading their division, so they are happy. The Hornets, succeeding around their own string of injuries. Jazz, hanging in there without their superstars. Suns falling apart.
ya it gets me angry how many people post threads about tearing the team apart and firing adelman and all that....with all the injuries we have, we are still 10 games over .500 All the rockets need to do is try and stay healthy, play together, try and get a set rotation and build chemistry so they get a feel for each other and ready for the playoffs. It bothers me sure if we lose to the under .500 teams but any team in the nba is capable of beating another on any given day. As long as we get in the playoffs that matters, it doesn't matter who we play because we can match up with anyone.
I can tell you the Orlando Magic's problem... -And it is simply because they shoot way too many 3's... When they stop falling which they do when you play a great defensive rotation team like the Celtics. Your team is not going to win. (The Magic) They also now have Jameer Nelson out for the season pretty much, and even with him they never were going far outside of the 2nd round. They are just Top 4 now if you ask me in the East. -Celtics' problem is simply a lack of bench. They have Eddie House and Leon Powe and that's about it. If Posey was still on this team, they would actually have a chance the break the 96' Bulls record.
