I think that kinda made T-Mac mad, but damn, it worked.

I don't think it was a good idea to say it to the media, wither, but it got McGrady going. He stepped up on defense, really.

Eh, if only they didn't come from Rafer I'd actually give a damn. Guy, himself, can't defend and his teammates are wiser not to pass him the ball, for him to have any credibility.

I just wish he didn't have to get mad to get motivated to play. Remember last year when Barkley criticized him on the halftime show and McGrady came out an played an awesome 2nd half?

My desire is for these guys who are making millions of dollars to be professionals and have a work ethic and play to the best of their abilities when needed, not when someone disses them and makes them mad.

And while I am at it, I wish for the refs to call the games perfectly too.

Their is a big difference between T-mac talking and Artest talking.

It's not irony considering T-mac said the talking as far as finger pointing needs to stop. T-mac hasn't called out any of his teammates.

Now I think the Artest thing was overblown, it wasn't a call out, he said he expected T-mac to get better as he knee gets better.

I would bet Artest win a boxing match, street fight, or whatever form of combat style(hell even Judo), all day. ALL DAY.....that dude is build like a bull

Hell they could settle their difference in pro wrestling like Marlone and Randleman did, I'd pay big bucks to see Booker T teamup with Artest

Well said, just like everything T-mac related this year, its being overblown. Artest wasn't calling him out and RA said something very similar about talking and pointing fingers.

He is the one who always talks more than he should. Artest did the right thing. Before the last game, almost all of his teamates put more effort on defense than he did since the beginning of the season. Used to like him as a Rocket. Do not take his words serioulsy any more. He really should have been in college for a year or two.

Everyone seems to be so uset with t-mac for everything he does. This team can still do great things but believe t or not he has to be the main cog. This team did look good withut him but gys we cant win wihout him. Ease up ron ron wasn't wrong it just could have been worded better. I think we are fine or at least I hope so.

When is T-Mac going to step up and take responsibility as a leader?

Ron likes to point fingers, and Tracy doesn't like people to point fingers at him. I'm certain there's friction between them.

Why Tmac seemed motivated under JVG? Because JVG is the true leader of that team and he called out anybody if he was not satisfied with their performance. Now we don't have that spokesman so Yao or Artest should keep Tmac going.

I think the best way to stop the talking is DON'T TALK BACK, NO PUBLIC COMMENTS ON YOUR TEAMATES' WORDS. What TMac is doing may make things worse. Stay calm and work harder.

    Both guys were right.

The team shouldn't be paying lip service, they should be doing it on the court.

...but if guys see Tracy playing better D they feel they have to step it up as well.
