He is a FA this year, and according to ESPN, he is good as gone in Utah. I know that the Rockets were interested in him a few years ago. I think he would be a great role player off the bench and can play either the 2 or 3 spot the latter being where we need help the most. I dont think he is a starter by any means, but he would be a great spark off of the bench. Stats were good this year for the Jazz-holes: 9.4 pts 4.5 reb 2.1 ast Comments?
No thanks. I used to think he was good or at least decent, but he doesn't bring enough to the table. We need difference makers, not roster fillers.
I liked him a year ago, but I think he might have a small bit of the Nick Anderson syndrome. For whatever reason, he's totally lost confidence in his shot. All season long, those big shots he used to make have been terrible misses... on Saturday, he managed to airball a crucial layup in the final minute. Maybe it's just that I don't see him that much, but this season he just seems to lack confidence in his shot, for whatever reason. His defense isn't all that great-- average to above average, but not a stopper-- so overall I doubt if he's that much of an upgrade over Walt Williams.
In the mid to late 90's, hell yes!! I always thought Russell was a pretty solid player. But now...I'd pass.

first of all, he's from the jazz, that's a no-no. second, he's missed more shots than i can count. everytime i saw him, he was missing wide open 3's, even against the rockets. i mean when you miss open shots against the rockets, that's saying something. and like Cat mentioned, he airballed a freaking layup last game. that's like something you see in a pickup game with some scrubs at gregory. he tried to finger roll and managed to roll it backward. anyway, definitely don't get him, he solves none of our problems at this point. get some confidence again and i would consider it, but that jazz thing would probably still get in the way.
He hasn't done all that well,but I would consider him if he was willing to take the exception in case we don't pick up a SF in the draft.
NO his defense has declined rapidly, all guy does is reach now, 4 years ago when he could gaurd somone I would have said yes oh and he couldnt hit sand if he fell off a camel

Terrance Morris is going to be better than Russell ever was. Now that he's wet his feet, I expect some big improvements from him. Rudy better find a way to get him some PT.
The thing about Terrence Morris is he would have been a lottery pick if he left after his sophmore season, but he chose to stay. He obviously didn't improve his junior or senior seasons at Maryland. If he couldn't even improve at the college level, how do you expect him to improve in the NBA? I really don't see a very bright future for TMo...but I hope he proves me wrong. A lot of sportswriters give examples of kids who come out early and have a rough time in the NBA, saying they should've stayed in school. Morris is the exact opposite example. Chris Wilcox even mentioned that what happened to Terrence Morris helped contribute to his decision to leave early.
Lack of improvement in junior and senior year measured by stats? Your stats are affected by your teammates and your coaching staff's usage of you. Just because he didn't get better in his last two years of school doesn't mean he won't get better ever. Heck, this is the team that picked up a rapidly *declining* Glen Rice and has three guards that haven't gotten much basketball smarter in the last two years of playing NBA basketball (Moochie/Steve Francis/Cuttino Mobley). Maybe Rudy prefers players who can't learn anymore?
