Simple. Post your camera model or models if you have many and, if possible, a photo of the model. EDIT: the ones you have now and use, not the ones you've used before, please. This is the one I used exclusively up until about July 2005: Canon Sure Shot 85 Zoom / Prima Zoom 85 - 35mm film, mostly for family photography, fun, etc. In July of 2005, I bought this as my FIRST digital camera: Fuji FinePix S5100, Digital 4 megapixel, a little more serious photography, I bought it because of its macro capability and the speed of the shutter for point-and-shoot photos. The Fuji (i pronounced it "foo-CHEE" ) had a weak flash, and I didn't have a wide range of accessories to add to it for serious photography, so: Jump to January 27th, 2009: Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi / EOS Kiss Digital X2 / Canon EOS 450D : SERIOUS photography, maybe even for money now, thanks to some very knowledgeable people's help in deciding for this model. Now show me yours that's what she said.
<img src="http://www.domie.co.uk/images/equipment/kodak.jpg"> This is my real camera and I don't like it. The only good part is that it's water proof. <img src="http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41IozQmHCBL.jpg"> I need to get one of those fancy pants ones like you.
I have the Rebel Xti. My next related purchase will either have to be a 17-50/2.8 or a 530 EX II flash. So much money....
I researched the Nikon vs. Canon issue before Christmas, and ended up asking for the D60. I love it, but don't think you can go wrong either way
That question will be debated until the end of time. My opinion: Nikon has a better body....Canon has better glass. And the glass is what matters in the end.
Yeah, I didn't mean to get start a fanboy debate (not that there's one going on). Both entry level models seem to rate very close. It's just the idea that switching brands down the line can be very expensive because those lenses are not interchangeable.
The lenses are the big issue. Also, Nikon does not have live view. It doesn't matter to me, but may to some.
