Yeah, we need another "superstar" who plays no defense and doesn't buy into what the coaches are selling :(

This team needs a PG with leadership qualities and some game out on the court.

I think it would be a huge mistake. My concern is his health, his attitude, and his contract.

What we need is a freaking upgrade at the point!

What if the Suns where interested in Wafer aswell? They did say they where looking for young talent, and he fits that. Plus, he is an "expiring", so if things don't go well they could let him go.

As much as I think Amare is an amazing player, as much as I think he would not fit on this team. When I heard he was on the trading block I thought: "Well we are stacked at PF, so we can't really need him."

We need a PG, thats all.

    ARAME? Please no

    1) He is a selfish player. He needs to be the 1st option on offense. With Rockets, he wouldn't like it because you have Yao, T-Mac so he would be 3rd option. This guy wants to SCORE, wants to be the guy

    2) He doesn't play defense at all, just lazy ass

    3) He thinks he is the best, he would kill Rockets chemistry (which is awful even now, though)

That means nothing. We traded for Bobby Jackson last year and he really got into with T-mac one year.

But yes this trade has no chance of happening.

Where is the reality on this board? Did you not see that the Suns said "Steve Nash is not on the trading block"?

People act like trading is so easy, this isn't a video game.

in case you haven't been following the Bucks, Sessions is untouchable for the near future (or at least for the next four weeks).

No, logically both rockets and suns will not do the trade, do you need another max player when you already have two for the rockets? Are you a smart owner to do it? Do Suns want to have Tmac? Too many IFs.

if rox is trading for an all star PF/C, i take bosh. Raptors is in bad shape as well.

And the only player from suns that can help rox is nash and maybe richardson as well.

t_mac1, this is a Rockets board. When someone makes a statement like FLASH21 did, they're not talking about Duncan and Robinson.

For penance, please read 5 tinman threads.

What if we could get Barbosa? You really wouldn't consider that as an upgrade over Rafer?

I know he isn't all star caliber but honestly who that is available is all star caliber?

He has a much better jumper than Rafer and is quicker on the floor and is also good at moving without the ball hence motion offense.

Plus if we keep AB that'll be even double fire power. Just my opinion, *shrug*
    ;)

I am so surprised that many people here want Amare.

    Let's see
    1. He is NOT willing to play defense. It is not about he can improve. He doesn't want it. With his talent, he should have done that over last 5 years.

    2. He is a bad fit for Yao. Last year when Shaq gave up almost all his offense to play defense Amare benefited a lot. This year when Shaq's game came back and the game plan changed, his number drops drastically of late. This won't change if you replace Yao of Shaq. Is that really a good idea to sacrifice 50% of Yao's offense to add in one more offensive player?

    3. He is selfish. It has been proven. He can accept Nash to be the center of the team because Nash gives him so many easy chances to score. He wants to be No. 1 option, and most likely Rockets won't give him that.

    4. His athleticism has dropped a lot after the surgery.

    5. His offensive game is heavily dependent on a good PG. I am not saying he can't create his offensive move, but his efficiency is helped a lot by a guy named Nash. What do we have? Ab or Alston?

So do you still want him?

The question should like this.. If the Rockets had to choose a Power Forward who would you choose and your choices were

    1. Scola
    2. Landry
    3. Stoudemire
    4. Hayes.

Yeah you would choose like this..

    3, 1 , 2, 4...

Also Shaq is only averaging 1.X less shot attemps than Yao.. so to say you will be taking 50% of Yao offense is not really right..

I'm questioning out of those 4 who has the best defense and to tell you the truth It's actually Stoudemire.. Let's not look at stats because Stoudemire pretty much kills anyone of our PF's on those but it's his athletic ability that stands him out.. Also the fact is he can play CENTER....

Yes he can be the backup CENTER if need be.
