We wouldn't be nearly as good with Gasol. If teams prepared to stop Gasol as number #1 option, he get shut down.
the thing is he wouldn't be the #1 option. but you have him and scola??? it'd be so hard to focus on where they go on offense b/c they can move around so much.
Yeah, let's trade Yao for Casol and rebuild the Rockets around Casol. How sweet it is.... Yao to the Lakers and I wonder how the Lakers' fans would react?
Great game. Kind of stinks the C's had to do it without KG down the stretch. KG is a complete douche and showed yet another example of why tonight, but his final foul was beyond weak -- you don't call that let alone on a star. Major props to Gasol and Odom for stepping up, hitting key shots and dominating the paint. Plus, they don't get to OT in the first place if Kobe wasn't being his usual self hitting cold-blooded big shots. P.S. Ray Allen is nuts if he really thought he was going to get that call with one hand on Fisher the entire sequence on the last play. Fisher was on him but Allen was using his left arm to try to get separation and still could barely get the shot off. Great no call.
Who is going to play defense against Shaq, Dwight Howard, Eddy Curry, Big Z, and teams that like to go into the paint?
people don't realize how great Gasol becomes as a Second player on a team along with Kobe, he has good post moves, excellent passing, great mobility, and his game against a great defensive team 10-14, 24 pts, 14 rebs is a great game.
no. it should tell adelman that he needs to open up his playbook in the 4th or clutch situations and not be SO DAMN PREDICTABLE.
i never said trade yao. i simply said the lakers run a very unpredictable offense b/c they run plays for different people even in clutch situations. but to your question: who does the lakers have to guard those guys too?
Put any good player next to Kobe and he'll make him great. It's the Lebron-Kobe-Paul effect. I think these are the only 3 guys capable of having a vast effect on everybody on the team.
Odom actually stepped up, finally, Damn. If the Lakers need to go deep in the playoffs, he needs to average 15/10/3 He is their Xfactor
