Why he did not go back to Orlando, first re-scoring glory?

Yeah I agree with your points thr.. thats why I mentioned that T-Mac needs to be on court with him.. T-Mac is gonna demand the ball anyway ..

and at clutch.. Barry could prove to be really useful...

my line up would be ( last 2-4 mins of the game)
Yao, Scola, Battier, T-Mac , Barry

or Artesticles at 4 if he has a good shooting game..

if we have CP3 or a good PG to contain.. we can have raferrr or brooks running the point..

Goog points thr leeb.. but i think PF is the last position Morey would be worrying abt IMO..

the focus is on PG.. Feigan said in his blog that they are looking at upgrades.. but nothing would work out most probably.. so I think we might be stuck wit this line-up..

I am sure you will be one of disappointment, if such a launch, in particular, is to allow him to play the fourth quarter

The team brought him to Howard, the team should be grateful to him

Just some more anecdotal evidence ...

I went to two Rockets games this year (I'm not as lucky as you guys who live near Houston) and I usually get to the game early to watch the players before the game and the shoot around. Remember, these are shots without a defender.

    My impressions:

Artest is money. In one game, he didn't play but shot around alone before the game. He was shooting around 70 to 80 percent midrange and maybe 50 percent from the arc. He's actually a very good shooter but he makes horrible decisions in a game.

TMac. He's an okay shooter, making about 60 percent of his midrange jumpers just warming up.

Airballston. This guy is horrible. Without a defender, he was making about 40% or so. These are squared up, face up jumpers without a defender! There were not his "prayer" tear drops. He was also missing layups in the layup drill.

Of course one expects the shooting percentages to go down in a game, but with Airballston, they weren't very high to begin with.

    You can try that..

like i said earlier.. if the opposition team does not have a quick PG.. i don't think that line up will suffer too much on D

DD, I agree with you that we have big problem on offense. But who is the main problem? I think it's TMac. We have played 6 games since he came back. We lost each of the 3 games he was taking 20 shots. We won the other 3 games he was taking 14 shots or he was out. Is it still a coincidence? Just like our offense was so smooth when he was out? Tmac just like to dominate the ball. It's far difficult to play teamball with him on the court.

There's the answer right there. The player's keep shooting shots they don't make and the coach isn't making them accountable for it. The teams needs a PG baaaad.

    DD,

I usually agree with most things you say on the board, but you kinda got caught up, and trainwrecked your own idea of improvement. Hinrich is a career .414 shooter. You said Artest at 42% was hardly efficent. I think your Hinrich crush has finally gone beyond basketball now. Can we plz kill that idea now?

Brooks and Wafer are the best complimentary wing players to Yao. They can shoot, penetrate and finish around the basket. No other Rockets player can do all 3 well.

Im with Joesr on this general argument. The problem is the coaching.

Adelman almost never takes out players that are consistently taking poor shots or ignoring the "hot hands". He will play Battier, Artest, Tmac and Rafer almost no matter what they are doing at any particular time. There is no accountability whatsoever for not running the offense or not looking for Yao.

The coach is teddy bear soft and has no spine. This is a clear case of the inmates running the asylum.

remember the last season when JVG was still in charge, we had so many blowout wins? I remember we held team to 60 points or something like that. We also had a monster stat againist Eastern Conference(something like 3-4 loses in total)
and now we are getting destroyed by Knicks, Memphis, Raptors.

DD, I want u to tell me when was the last time a team has won a ring when the oppmets shoot over 45%. U can talk hinrich and maggette, but you're not going to beat a great defensive by making them a good to great offense. That's why the suns could never be the spurs. They turned a efficient offense into a great offense. So when the spurs needed a stop, they would fall back on their defense.
