Could KG make a better center than SF?
    Webber?
    Wallace?

why do folx get so stuck on NOT being a center

I think alot of the great PFs in this league should
bite the bullet and convert to Centers.

    Webber-Nope
    Wallace-Nope
    Eddie Griffin-Nope
Dirk Nowitzki-YES, but he needs to bulk up to face Shaq and others (Same w/ KG)

RR, I agree in principal. There's such a dearth of talent at the center position, that guys who aren't built for it (or so it is said) would thrive there.

There's no need for Webber to convert as long as Divac is there. But, any top PF who can defend the lane could switch over and allow another PF on the floor. Griffin definitely could. (Don't tell me he can't guard Shaq. Shaq is irrelevant to the Rockets' current plans, which is to get into the playoffs. The Lakers can sweep the season series for all I'd care.) He has the shot-blocking to help defend the lane and can use his speed and his outside shooting to punish teams who insist on sticking with the old-style Luc Longley type centers.

I thought Rasheed did/does a decent job on Shaq, but there are several problems having that expectation from EG.

    1) Youth - he's having a hard enough time learning the NBA game apart from this.

    2) Rockets team D - the Rockets do not play the passing lanes very well, switch-off or rotate poorly during double teams and are horrid at playing the PNR.

On offense, Nowitski, Wallace, & KG all have postup games and EG's is non-existent at this point.
