All dudes want to see is him kicking butt on the big screen, or some cases kicking butt in real life like mentioned. It takes passion to be an actor.

Matthew McConaughey agrees with Bale and even wants it out of him.

Showdown! Christian Bale crosses paths With Shane Hurlbut, the director of photography and object of his now infamous rant. This shot was taken shortly before their blowup on the set of Terminator Salvation.

You've heard the rant, now here are the pictures you haven't seen.

RadarOnline.com has obtained photos of actor Christian Bale on the set of his new film Terminator Salvation. The pics include Bale with DP Shane Hurlbut, the target of Bale's 4-minute, F-bomb meltdown. After Bale's blowup the DP was not allowed within 100 feet of the set if Bale was on it, sources tell us. In the final days of filming, the DP was back on set, and he and Bale did not have any more harsh words.

Bale became a hero to cast and crew after his tirade against Hurlbut, who was widely despised, sources tell RadarOnline.com exclusively. "Hurlbut was a condescending (bleep) to everyone," a source told us. His favorite line was "Why don't you go stab yourself in the head, you idiot."

Maybe Bale's not such a bad guy after all.

Another co-worker talks about this guy to Defamer:

I was on the crew of another film Shane was recently DP on and he was despised. Crew hated him - actors had hard time. He would tell his crew, if he was displeased with them, to "Stab themselves in the heart and die." or "Blow yourself up." On this film he would constantly re-light when actors got to set and tweak during takes - it was bad.

Ever been a part of a hundred plus million dollar film production, where mistakes, disruptions and interruptions mean having to do a retake? If so did you have ever have a guy totally f*** up your concentration, perhaps during a moment where you were completely vested in your character? And this isn't live, where you can screw up and just keep rolling. You gotta get it perfect or you do it again...maybe, just maybe Bale was feeling good about that take and this guy totally screwed that up.

And maybe he shouldn't have yelled at the man, but as the other side to this story unfolds, sounds like the guy had it coming to him. I mean what kind of bush league, amateur DP f***s with the lighting during the scene?!

You know the DP or one of his friend posted that audio. I can understand getting fired up, but getting all vocal and crude isn't going to do anything. He should have gone to the producer and director and had the guy fired and replaced.

What kind of a moron on crew moves around the camera during a scene??

Sounds like the DP was at fault just from the sound of the director trying to calm Bale down.

Can tell that Bale is a little experienced in his tirades. Like it wasnt a rare occurence for him.

AND, you can definitely tell Bale had a bone to pick with that particular person. He didnt go all ape***** to anyone in his path, he had direct words toward that guy. He even said to a different guy "YOU might f***in get, he does NOT get it"

I love, love the moment in "Burden of Dreams" when Herzog reports, matter-of-factly, that the astonished natives had offered to murder Kinski, as a sort of honor killing, for disrespecting Herzog. (Also, Herzog flying/boating in prostitutes to the location to keep the crew productive/happy.)

Course, McG is no Herzog. (I didn't read of Bale throwing tantrums on "Rescue Dawn.") Because Kinski apparently met his match:

According to director Werner Herzog, Klaus Kinski threatened to abandon the film entirely at one point during the shooting. Werner Herzog says he threatened to kill Klaus Kinski and then turn the gun on himself if Klaus Kinski left - and later declared he was quite prepared to do so. Klaus Kinski stated in interviews that Werner Herzog wielded a pistol to emphasize the threat, but Werner Herzog denies this.

Maybe the question should be, is to possible to heed prior warnings so that the situation never gets to that point?

I just see it that the DP had been warned before about this and it got to the point that pleasant warnings were not getting through.

Not being condescending, but how else could he have handled it that would not make him look like the bad guy?

"I'm embarrassed by it. I ask everybody to sit down and ask themselves, have they ever had a bad day and have they ever lost their temper and really regretted it immensely."

Not that he doesn't understand the public's insatiable desire to hear—and mock and remix—the audio.

"Feel free to make fun of me at my expense, I deserve it completely.

Bale, who could easily have chosen any worldwide media out to deliver his mea culpa, said he selected KROQ because had been listening to the morning show's mockery and incessant playing of his rant all week.

"I spoke with you guys a few years back, you seem like good guys and I wanted to talk with you about it," he said, before adding that the deejays' take on his rant made him laugh. "Believe me, this is no punk."

Kevin and Bean, meanwhile, had a slightly more humbling take on why they were chosen.

"You can talk to a guy who tries to high-five a blind dude or you can talk to Kevin and Bean, those are your options in the morning," they said.

(For those doubting the validity of the scoop, Bale's rep Jennifer Allen has confirmed that it was the actor, and not the station's dead-on Bale impersonator, Ralph Garman.)

As for any residual hard feelings between Bale and the object of his onset rant, the actor said it ceased being an issue shortly after the outburst.

"We have resolved this completely...I have no intention of getting anyone fired. There is no problem whatsoever."
