I saw the "Tribute" video for the first time this weekend and loved it. Heavy-set bald guys in a "rock" band rule!
The D are basically my reason for living. Elvis and I have the whole, all-too-brief TV series, two tshirts, a set of 'Possible Backstage Betty' underwear (I mostly wear those ), badges, the album, several bootlegs, both audio and DVD... we even drove to New Orleans last year to see them. We're D-dorks. I do not say this lightly: the first episode of Tenacious D, 'Inspirado', may be the funniest fifteen minutes of television *ever*. Plus, who else can do the entire Abbey Road medley live on two acoustics? Sonics GM, that 'Rocket Sauce' song is done live, to the tune of the Beatles' 'Blackbird'. Quite touching really.
