yeah, surgery is required or else the meniscus won't heal, recovery time depends from person to person, it has nothing to do with "thoughness" or any other cliche like that, knee injuries are unique, i've been preaching that for weeks around here. i just had MCL surgery 3 weeks ago and i'm running ok, but i'm far from being able to do cuts and such.
As much as I hate the Lakers, its still sad to see him go down...again. Karma is a b****!! Which knee is it, same as last year??
i think this opens up big doors for the Rockets, and their point of view of the remaining season. The one team that could dominate us was the Lakers because of their supperior size, ( the lakers is a lot of why we signed mutombo) with out their overwheleming size it opens up big doors. I do not think there is anybody that the Rockets cant beat if they get things together. Of course getting things together is very unlikely because it depends alot on the health and on the mind set and passion of Mclazy. BUt this is big news, it gives us life
I think kobe has answered the OP 34 at the half and Gasol 16pts,7rebs The Lakers have the talent to go all the way to the finals again.
Realistically, the Rockets should worry about getting out of the first round rather than beating the Lakers.
WE NEED NOT WORRY ABOUT THE ROSTER OF OTHER TEAMS UNLESS WE ARE STUDYING THEM FOR A TRADE. WE NEED TO INSTEAD WORRY ABOUT OUR OWN ROSTER (FAMILY) AND GET THIS CHEMISTRY THING GOING. BYNUM BEING OUT REALLY DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING AS FAR AS HIS INJURY HELPING US. THE ONLY THING THAT CAN HELP US IS US.
Unless the Lakers end up being the Rockets' first-round opponent. This thread should really be in the NBA Dish forum IMO.
61 and 31 and only won by 10 in a 247 game is like winning by 4 or 5 in regular speed game. Defense is what will hurt the Lakers the most by Bynum not playing. Is not like they where playing much defense before him getting hurt and with no Turiaf Lakers interior defense look pretty bad but I expect them to make a move to at least patch that a little.
their D the past few weeks have been subpar but with their offensive talent, they just might unless we do something about it (we probably are the only team who can in the west). bynum is NOT out of the season. on the lakers broadcast, they say he's out 8-12 weeks. but the injury isn't as severe as they thought and thus it's more towards the 8 weeks. if so in 2 months, he might play a few reg. season games and playoffs. but i doubt he can contribute in a big way.
Don't do that. Lakers are still the same team, with our without Bynum. They are winning games with their offense. The problem for them is defense. They play HORRIBLE defense.
heck and people think Yao was made out of plastic...look at bryum. 8 to 12 weeks - if he's back around 8 weeks then lakers has a chance to be dominate with bryum in the lineup. if it is closer to 12 weeks, meaning he will miss the playoff, then he is pretty much out. Think about it, he needs to be in game shape after resting for this long. Lakers is not going to put him in the lineup right away and he may be back in the western conference or final round. which by then he is out of syn and rusty. This is certainly a good news to the eastern top 3 teams and great news to spurs and whoever will play them in the playoffs. Lakers are deep, but don't forget teams has adjusted to them this off season as we got artest, Suns got richardson, NO got posey...etc.
