Just ignore Hank. He is a troll. Baylor is in over its head in the Big 12. Regards, 41-21. Maybe one day we will catch up to that power house in Hooterville.
Pretty proud of 41-21 aren't you? Wow.... What is Baylor vs. A&M record in football over the last 25-30 years. For comparison, what is Baylor vs. Texas record over the last 25-30 years... As terrible as A&M was this past season, they finished with... you guessed it... the SAME record as the Bears... Yes Hank is an idiot.
41-21 was sweet. I expect the same for the foreseeable future with Mr. Griffin. As for hoops, we just cannot stop anyone. No inside game and no defense.
Horrible, Horrible game..We absolutely fall apart in the final 5 minutes of games and CJ is on a horrendous shooting slump..If we don't pick it up I'm afraid we might end up in the NIT.
Oops! Another loss? And this time on national TV?! Here's a quote from todays Dallas Morning News: "...the Bears proved they're not ready for prime time..." Probably just him trolling though. Right? I'm sure you'll turn it around against Oklahoma...
Hank, no one has touched the Let's talk Aggie BBall thread in a couple of weeks. You should really post there more. Though we'll certainly miss your input here, you might want to tend to it.
He's just upset that I called him out for making fun of the Patrick Dennehy situation. I can live with that. It needed to be done. Good luck the rest of the season. I still don't think you belong in the Big 12, and the entire conference would have been much better off with either Houston or TCU instead, but you have a way of making things interesting from time to time, and I will continue watching you closely the rest of the way. Having said that.... Goodbye for now!
Wait... Basketball wise, if anything, its TAMU that has proven anyone can be relevant and not "in over their head" in the Big 12.
Even an a-hole farmer like Hank is entitled to his opinion no matter how stupid. UH or TCU in the Big 12? LMAO.
Its just bad timing considering we wrecked them in football not too long ago. Our mens team has been struggling but it seems like we have good recruits signed and our womans bball program has been top rated for a while. Seems like the beastly chick that's coming in next yr will bring another championship to the big 12. Haven't been following the baseball team lately but they have always been solid and same with the tennis and golf program.
If we're just looking at football: Baylor was ranked #8 in the country in football in 1991 after beating Colorado in Colorado and starting out 5-0. They were in bowl games in 1991, 92 and 94. At the same time UH's program was sliding like crazy. They reached their pinnacle in 1990...by 1991 they finished 7th in conference at 4-7. They did the same the next year and developed a reputation for running up the score on helpless teams but getting their ass kicked by competent teams. The first year of the Helton era was 1993 and the Coogs were awful. At the time of the decision, the Coogs hadn't been to a bowl game since 1988. At the same time, TCU was coming off major NCAA violations that had deeply hurt their football program. At the time of the Big XII's decision, TCU had not been in a bowl game since 1984. The Big XII conference was officialy formed in 1994...but the decisions about who would be included preceded that. Based on where Baylor's football program was at that time, there was zero reason to exclude them in place of UH or TCU...that they were a private school didn't hurt either. And at that time, no one would have told you that TCU should have been admitted to the Big XII over Baylor...I don't think even TCU fans would have argued that.
Max you better be careful using logic and facts to back up your argument. These internet know it alls don't care about facts. TCU and UH still do not deserve to be in a major conference. BU's overall athletic program is light years ahead of them.
If it is better, it is only because you managed to somehow coax your way into the Big 12 while they did not. I really don't see that Baylor brings anything whatsoever to the Big 12 that either of those other two schools wouldn't have done better if given the same opportunity. Maybe womens basketball? Yeah. Womens basketball. I will definitely give you that one... As a whole, however, it is laughable to think that Baylor is even in the same stratosphere as The University of Houston in terms of an overall historic athletic program. Not to mention the recruiting benefits that being able to play conference games in Houston and the DFW metroplex would have added. Spin it however you want, but everyone knows the single only reason Baylor was invited into the Big 12 was because of Gov. Ann Richards. There is absolutely no other logical explanation. It's unfortunate, however, because it has put you into a situation where you will rarely have success. It will always be extremely difficult for Baylor to compete in anything against Texas, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M. Noticed you lost again tonight. Don't feel bad, so did the Aggies. Maybe we'll meet up in the NIT... Good luck against Oklahoma.
Overall athletic history? You are f'in kidding me? That is the dumbest argument I have ever, ever heard. The truth is UH did not and does not deserve a bcs conference. Facilities suck, fan support sucks and always will. If you want to argue that a school like Arkansas, etc... would do better in the Big 12 than BU ok I get that. UH? That's a joke and you know. BTW, both our basketball teams are beyond pathetic right now.
