These two guys are similar in many ways, both are small, yet solid rebounders. Neither can play SF. Can we keep them both or should we deal them.

What do u guys think. I think we should keep Kenny.

I think Kenny has more trade value, so use him to get someone else.

Rogers is small in terms of weight. I think Rogers is a permanent bench player, but I like him better.

Neither are good defenders, but Rogers is the better of the two. It seems like if KT isn't getting any shots, then he's not even in the game. Thomas is a good rebounder though, but I'd equate him to Donyell Marshall as a player he's most like: poor defenders, poor FG%, & good rebounders.

It sure is early (KT's rookie year,Carlos's being on the roster ,then off the roster all year) to be comparing these guys, but .........

    Kenny

KT is solid. He has a good selection of shots. Runs hot/cold offensively like all rookies. But he is ALWAYS around the ball, man. He can bang with the big boys. I don't know if you've been watching the same games I have been lately but he made McDyess and Tim Duncan work.

For those who think these guys are too light, remember the PF position is getting slimmer and more athletic every year. Give KT a summer of moving some of that weight to more muscle and he is a true playa.

    Carlos

He is definitely injury prone. But he is long tall and although he runs awkwardly at times, he can cover the floor. He is an average to above-average passer(KT is by far one of the better passing forwards on the team), but 'Los needs to develop a better shot selection. He is considered a veteran because he has been around for awhile, and so has some smarts and good at positioning. He is coachable and very likeable. I believe he has good heart and would be great team asset. I really like him.

But having to make the choice of who to keep, I would take KT in a heartbeat.

1)Passing. It seems the better players in the league are usual among the tops at their position in assists. Thomas is way ahead of Brand here.

2)Scoring. He has good moves, but has a tough time against the big boys. Hopefully he will get better against the allstars, but I see no problem with him being guarded by the Brands, Gugliatas, and Joe Smiths. The FG% will come. He is too good of a player to shot like Walker for his career. What's his FG% since january since it started so bad?

3)Rebounding. Someone has to since Cato is always in the air. I keep waiting for him to put up 10+ numbers regularly.

4)Defense is improving. He will get stronger. The height hurts a little, but I think he will be able to hold his own.
