that looks real bad.. hope the guy is alright but yeah.. Lakers will not be affected too much.. they would remain in 1st place.. Kobe wil take care of that..
definitely divine karmic retribution. Maybe next time he won't blindly elbow someone going to the basket lol. Kobe looked more upset about losing his chance to avenge his team's loss to the celtics than concerned about Bynum's health lol. Anyone notice the Vajacic's face? He looked like he was going to faint Too bad he's on the lakers...pairing him with Scola on our squad would have been hilarious
Bynum seemed in very good spirits in this interview after the game. He definitely doesn't think it's season-ending and says it feels much better than the injury last year. http://www.cbs2.com/video/?id=91684@kcbs.dayport.com
Just interviewed on NBA TV. He can walk on it, and without crutches. They don't think it's as bad as last year.
What's your pain threshold again? You must be like Bruce Lee posting on your computer with nary a strain of wrist pain!
Man oh man, what I can never figure out is why this type of injury isn't more common. Hope there's no real damage.
Yeah, 'cause Mihm and Mbenga are THAT good! Seriously, I'm guessing they'll put Gasol at center and get Odom back in the starting lineup. Having a bonehead like Odom back in your starting 5 is bad enough, but where it really hurts them is their depth. They CAN get to the finals w/o Bynum, but they'd need a lot of luck.
For what its worth, i tore my acl and that is pretty much the same kind of collision that did it. It's also the same reaction i had to just grab my knee, and it was just a burning sensation that flared up every 5 seconds for about 2 minutes. I was able to walk on it, even tried playing on it for a few mins then just walked to my car and drove home. It doesn't really mean anything to me when he says he didnt feel a pop. I didnt either, I just felt a burn, and the next day it swole up twice the size of my other knee. Again, it could just be a severe strain, but judging from this video and my experience with a knee injury, this is a structural tear and he is done for the year.
Wow it was his left knee last season now its the right knee two freak injuries in a row just kinda like yao poor guy
That's definitely karma coming back to haunt Bynum. Well, at least he doesn't have a collapsed lung and broken rib.
I can't remember hearing a player scream in pain on a replay before! Hope it isn't as bad as it sounded!!!
Pain threshold? Its being reported as a sprain. Sorry, I have been around many athletes, played sports my whole life (even at collegiate level), and watched plenty of sports. Ive seen sprains, strains, hyperextensions, torn ligaments/tendons, broken bones, etc... Laying on the floor, writhing in pain and screaming repeatedly...if that diagnosis is correct (sprained knee), then I will LOL like never before. Seriously, for the sake of his manhood, I hope its a little bit more serious than that...Im embarrassed for the guy if its only a sprain.
All I gotta say is yes karma is a biatch and hey Rockets looks like we moving on up to the West side.
Hell, they did it last year in the Wild, Wild West. This year a lot of teams have fallen off so their only competition is San Antonio.
