You know they're more than capable of putting a long stretch together of great defense, this year's been sucky for some odd reason but heck some effort is better than NO effort whatsoever which is what you're gonna get from The Brazillian Blur

Luther Head to WAS for Juan Dixon.

Dixon is known to be a more capable ball handler and a veteran who can run the point in times that either Rafer or Brooks is in foul trouble or injured.

Yes, i have an idea about trading. Why not trade T-mac for Hamilton and Wallace from Pistons??? Rockets need a constant guard, like Hamilton or Chauncey Billups, but the last one, without any hope for Rockets. Wallace is a strong and samrt F compared with Scola. Pls keep Wafer and Lundary and paid for a good contract.

Jason Quick of the Oregonian mentioned that that the Blazers are talking to an EC team over a possible big deal involving LaFentz's contract and two non-starting rotation players for a PG & SG.

I'm thinking it could be LaFrentz + Outlaw + Bayless/Rodriguez/Fernandez for Hinrich + Nocioni.

To me we have two pieces that should be traded.

    Artest and Luther.

For Artest I would be happy with the following players. All work, in different ways with the current roster.

    1. Maggette
    2. Hinrich
    3. M. Miller
    4. A. Miller

If you don't have to include Luther to make salaries match...then I would like to see Sean Williams for Luther from NJersey.

To me, you do any of those trades and the team is miles better.

Haha. GS would jump on the Artest for Maggette deal. Way to help the Warriors get rid of that absolutely horrible 50 million contract that rolls all the way into 2014. Andre Miller has no outside shot and God knows how his production will be affected by a premier post threat (see Brand, Elton). Mike Miller's ankle is suspect, but his contract expires in 2010 and is the most sensible name on this list. I've heard management is interested in him. I'll take Miller for Artest, but only if we get a pick in return as well.

I don't subscribe to the 2010 theory. I think the time is now to take advantage of all those teams lining up trying to be a player in 2010...

Magette's horrible contract? LOL - the guy is about 8 million and is scoring 20ppg.....

That is pretty good if you ask me.

If, as you say, "the time is now", then Ron's 9 mil expiring is even more valuable. Corey Maggette? He has a 5 year, 50 million dollar contract. Don't tell me he's even close to having that kind of value. 20ppg? Ron averaged 20ppg before he came here. Now we want to move him. Hmm...

Vince Carter, Nets Going into the season, no one predicted that Carter, at the age of 32, would put up All-Star numbers on a rebuilding team. But he has played his heart out and, with Devin Harris, has made the Nets respectable. Which means it's the perfect time for Rod Thorn and Kiki Vandeweghe to throw him a farewell party. Carter has garnered plenty of interest from a few championship contenders like Cleveland and Houston who see him as a nice veteran addition. The Nets should jump on any deal that gets them a combination of cap relief and picks. Getting the last three years and $51 million of his contract off their books has to be a priority right now. Chance of trade: 45 percent.

I would love vince to come to houston, at this point I wouldn't trading him for artest and battier

i would love to have jose calderon on this team. do you guys think he would be a good fit? he is only 27.. he gives the rockets another good 3 pointer shooter...ahem (rafer), and an awesome playmaker. plus his field goal and freethrow percentages are high. 87 straight freethrows!!

im not good with trades but this works salary-wise:

    and his stats:
