Last year they called him the garbage man, this year he has become a star. He's never injured, he always puts forth an effort every night. If it wasn't for Scola our wins and losses might be reversed. Hopefully he'll be a Rocket 4 life.
It's pretty amazing that despite Scola flying everywhere on the court he has yet to get injured but i agree Scola has been pretty consistant but he is like everyone else and has a bad game once in a while so i'm not concerned
I love the way Louis is playing put he is not averaging 13.7 rebounds for January. He is averaging 8.5 rebounds a game for the month. Not bad but a long way from 13.7.
Alright, I stand corrected. The stats I had posted I got about a week ago from Scola's NBA.com season split. I guess I shouldn't have been lazy and copied the numbers from my other post and I should have adjusted them. Anyhow, I feel so bad that I have compiled all the stats for January for all Rockets. Note that Ron Artest and Rafer Alston are both RA's so I used RR for Ron Ron. Enough...here they are: Code: MPG FG% 3P% FT% 1) TM - 36.0 1) LS - 0.603 1) BB - 0.450 1) BB - 1.000 2) RA - 34.1 2) YM - 0.590 2) VW - 0.411 1) SB - 1.000 3) SB - 32.6 3) CL - 0.515 3) RR - 0.394 3) TM - 0.885 4) LS - 30.4 4) VW - 0.506 4) SB - 0.370 4) CL - 0.875 5) YM - 30.3 5) BB - 0.498 5) TM - 0.320 5) AB - 0.813 6) RR - 29.2 6) RA - 0.392 6) RA - 0.318 6) YM - 0.806 7) VW - 27.7 7) SB - 0.375 7) AB - 0.264 7) VW - 0.760 8) CL - 22.9 8) RR - 0.371 8) LH - 0.222 8) RR - 0.727 9) AB - 20.9 9) TM - 0.367 9) RA - 0.724 10) BB - 19.3 10) AB - 0.320 10) LS - 0.690 11) CH - 11.4 11) CH - 0.316 11) LH - 0.500 12) LH - 10.5 12) LH - 0.143 12) CH - 0.333 Code: RPG APG SPG BPG 1) YM - 8.9 1) RA - 6.4 1) RR - 2.0 1) SB - 1.1 2) LS - 8.5 2) TM - 5.0 2) TM - 1.8 1) YM - 1.1 3) SB - 6.1 3) AB - 2.6 3) VW - 1.2 3) CL - 0.5 4) RR - 5.2 4) RA - 2.4 4) RA - 1.1 4) CH - 0.4 5) CL - 4.9 5) YM - 2.3 5) AB - 0.9 5) TM - 0.2 6) TM - 3.8 6) SB - 2.1 6) SB - 0.7 5) BB - 0.2 7) CH - 3.6 7) BB - 2.0 7) LH - 0.5 7) VW - 0.1 8) RA - 3.0 8) LH - 1.5 7) LS - 0.5 7) RA - 0.1 9) BB - 2.6 9) VW - 1.4 7) CH - 0.5 7) LS - 0.1 10) VW - 2.4 9) LS - 1.0 10) YM - 0.4 11) AB - 1.7 11) CL - 0.8 10) BB - 0.4 12) LH - 1.3 12) CH - 0.4 12) CL - 0.1 Code: PPG GP 1) YM - 17.8 1) RA - 14 2) RM - 17.2 1) AB - 14 3) VW - 14.7 1) CL - 14 4) LS - 14.6 1) CH - 14 4) RR - 14.6 1) LS - 14 6) RA - 12.3 1) VW - 14 7) CL - 10.3 7) BB - 12 8) AB - 7.8 7) YM - 12 9) BB - 5.8 9) SB - 9 10) SB - 5.6 10) TM - 6 11) LH - 1.8 11) RR - 5 12) CH - 1.0 12) LH - 4
I love Scola he is a very smart player. He gets the most out of his abilities. He always plays hard and does not mind doing the dirty work to get his points. I also believe that the team could benefit by running more plays for him. That said I am also a little torn with him playing next to Yao. I believe the best fit at the 4 with Yao would be an athletic enforcer type. Someone that could take up the slack for Yao's lack of rebounding and come with a vengeance from the weak side to protect against his slow foot speed.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlNUEGGHS44 He runs He hustle and he is great. I think he had not miss a single game for this entire season up until now. thats a rare thing in the rockets
All he needs is the toothpick. I just wish they'd go to him more in the fourth qtr. They need to resign him this offseason for another 3yrs.
Yes i agree Scola rules, and im glad to see hat ppl see things the way i do, im glad to see that his effort and his play is not going completely unoticed. He is probably my favorite Rocket of all time. Thats bc when the Rockets one a champoinship i hated them, I was a little boy though lol.
I love how he hustles 100% of the time and makes impossible layups. Wish Rafer would take a page or two from his book.
I love his hustle and intelligence. He always seems to know where the open spot is, and when he has the advantage. I also like when he defends the pick and roll and harasses the opposing point guard, sometimes into turnovers or steals. However his post defense could use a lot of improving.
