...You and I have heard this comparison before, but do you think Dirk will be even better than this hall-of-famer, and perhaps a sure hall-of-famer himself? Dern, he really looks good as a "throwback" type of player, but he has so many attributes...

I dont think Dirk plays anything like Mchale, but I beleive he has a great chance to be ranked up there as one of the great forwards in league history, like Mchale is considered.

Mchale is a lot more comparable to a Tim Duncan then a Dirk Nowitski, but Dirk could be a hall of famer if he continues to improve and play at the high level he is playing at now.

I'll echo Nikos, Dirk plays nothing like Mchale.

Dirk looks more like Bird than Mchale to me even though I don't really think the Dirk to Bird comparison is an honest evaluation either. Dirks game is more like KG's in that he has a great outside game and is exellent at putting the ball on the floor.

Mchale was mainly a low post player.

McHale has always been overrated. He was never the best player on his team (not even close), yet some people call him the best PF of all-time. He, like K Bryant and Pippen, was the beneficiary of having one of the best of all-time on the same team. If Dallas achieves greatness, it will be mainly because of Nowitzki -- you can't say that about McHale.
