Scola's polish in the post is top 10 IMO. They aren't devastating or fundamental in nature but they are crafty. The Bynum's, Howard's, Jefferson's, Boozer's, they don't have the same knack for finding a shot in the post. Of course, they don't need to...
Agreed. If he had more athleticism and was an inch or two taller he'd be dominant. I'd say his post up game is top 5. If there's anything that he can control and improve upon not (height, athleticism) It'd be his defense.
This guy says that Erick Dampier is underrated and that he makes his free throws, but he's under 60%.
Replace Ericka Dampier with Andrew Bogut or David Lee. Others (not mentioned): Al Jefferson Raymond Felton Caron Butler Jameer Nelson (before a couple of weeks ago)
That we dont talk about Scola too much is a good thing about this team. His professional approach is FAR outclassing his American teammates.
Scola is really a veteran of many years of pro basketball depite this being his second NBA season. He's got a lot of experience and plays smart.
Lets face it the Rox have two of the most unathletic yet SOLID, players in the NBA Yao is a rather boring player for most people, but he shoots 54% from the Field, 87% from the Line and scores close to 20pts a game this season on limited shot attempts despite the fact that he is the focus of every defense and in only 33 minutes. Scola is one of the most solid players in the league. Tenacious rebounder, 53% shooting, 12-13 pts, 8 rebs, 1stl in 29 minutes of action, if there are things to be desired that he could improve they're probably freethrow shooting and defense.
