Hakeem Olajuwon has done everything. Over 27,000 career points, two time Defensive Player of the Year, NBA MVP, two time Finals MVP, blocked shots leader twice, rebounds leader twice, only one of three (four?) players to record a quad double, one of the NBA's 50 greatest. I was looking at a pretty old Hakeem card, though, and it said "Future NBA scoring leader" on it, and then I thought back and realized that he never led the league in scoring. It's hard to believe he's never led the league in scoring, either, considering that he was practically the only teams scoring option when he was in his prime. Which brings me to the $64,000 question...Who has the most career points without a scoring title? My guess would be Hakeem. EDIT: oops, wrong forum...you think I would have learned by now
OHHHH...I thought Malone won a scoring title during his MVP season... I remember David Robinson went off for about 75 points on the last day of the season in 1994 against the Clippers to take the scoring title away from Shaq
1993 - Michael Jordan with 32.6ppg 1994 - David Robinson with 29.8ppg malone never won a title (scoring or NBA)
buck, try www.infoplease.com and hit the alamanac. to answer your question. Robinson and Shaq led the two years Jordan was out. Jordan led for 10 years surrounding those two years.
He's doing well if that's his only 'blemish'. However it does suck to see his box score lines nowadays.
