Major and I have been frequent visitors to the Butler Pitch and Putt at Lamar and Riverside here in Austin, and the last few weeks we've seen an influx of groups out there having picnics and whatnot while they're playing.

So, I propose a Clutchcity.net tournament. Let's pick a day, plan on going out there and playing a few rounds. Winner gets nothing but good times, cold beer, and possibly good food-we don't know if you can take small grills out there, we will be asking (or maybe Clutch could put Golf Guru under your name ala Hangout Boy).

An all-day pass runs $18, or a round is $6, second is $5. It's only nine holes, and, depending on the crowd, a round can last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. It's a lot of fun- nothing serious, just pitching, putting, and drinking beer.

    Anyone interested?

    Changing Lanes a D and Van Wilder a B? C'mon man...

I think Swirve might need a Siskel to your Ebert or something. ;)

It's all relative man...Changing Lanes was sooooooo bad, I don't understand how it's getting any good reviews, and I love both actors.

Beat me in golf though, and I'll retract my review. ;)

It would have to be on a Saturday, and you would have to give me two weeks notice.

when you say pitch and putt do you just mean 3 par like 90-100 yard holes or like actually short little chips and stuff.

also, were you and major the ones that shot something obscene like 145 in a round of golf and dadakota said he would never wanna be in a golf foursome with y'all.

and sounds like a cool idea but i won't be in austin in two more weeks and have no way to get there and don't know any of y'all so don't think you'll be seeing me there. although i would gladly kick y'alls asses in chipping. just don't expect me to putt, hit irons, hit fairway woods, hit drives or any other type of shot.

Count me in RM95..... Let me know if you need any lessons! :p

Here is a question: How do we grill on a freaking golf course? I guess you would have to have a rolling grill.

Sounds awesome, but all the way in Austin?

I might be able to make it the weekend of May 4th.

    I shot a 110, Major shot a 145.

This is a 9-hole course with anywhere from 80-120 yd holes, I believe.

Drewdog, there's a picnic area right outside the "clubhouse". Come play tonight before the 'Stros and you'll see what we're talking about.

Obviously I'm not a golfer. No pitch and putt for me (unless it's late night pitch-and-putt). I'm up for throwing stuff off a bridge, or going down to the livestock auction and cruising the 4H Babes though.

I had never played golf before Pitch & Putt either, but you actually can do surprisingly OK the first time. Come on, dude!

I would be in, as long as I can rent or borrow some clubs. And 110-145 for 9 par 3's essentially, man I can hang with that easily and I'm not that good.
