tmac did what he was suppose to do get in the paint......The ref didn't make the call that is all...like i said earlier if this was any other superstar they get those calls and tmac just isn't used to driving in there and not getting the calls

Man, who cares? The smart play is to force the defense to commit and then dish the ball.

The Sixers are doing that. Pull Yao out and then get the ball to somebody else so he doesn't have time to rotate again.

Then suggest to me a good option when there was about 28 seconds.

FYI I did watch the game, and it was a foul where no call was given. I hope you guys are not suggesting he take a jumpshot instead.

from time to time, scola has defense problems. but, man, he'll give you 120% every game. i just wish he could shoot the ball better.

And I hate it when anyone just goes into the paint expecting the refs to give them I call. I hate it when Lebron does it. I hate it when Kobe does it. And I hate it when TMac does it.

I don't think there was a foul on the play and don't think players should be rewarded for bad plays.

I wrote what I thought he should have done--drive, force the defense to commit, dish.

Look at what the Sixers are doing. They drive but if Yao's in the way they pass hoping that he's not going to have time to rotate again. They passed three times in a row in the paint in the second quarter (turning it over off a missed pass that went out of bounds btw) trying to do exactly that.

It's not just the Sixers either. If you watch any team they do the exact same thing to beat Yao. Watch the last game against Utah. This is basketball 101.

he's shooting 53% from the floor this year and his mid-range J is one of the best on our team. you want him to shoot 60%? if that's the case, he'd be our best player.

guess you must be frustrated as hell b/c EVERY player does it to end the quarter.

How about pass the ball around and make the defense guard the perimeter. Work the ball around and maybe you get the defense out of possition and allow someone to cut free to the basket.

When you don't move the ball around you allow the defense to establish position with out working.

what would that help though? now there's just somebody else holding the ball on the perimeter instead of tmac. there are always defenders in the paint. everybody who drives meets resistance. but you either have the advantage and finish or don't and pass. tmac had it stripped on the way up so we don't know what we does, but over time, tmac dribbling into the paint unopposed is going to work out for us a lot better than our usual offense, but occasionally royal ivey will make a perfect steal and it won't. and when it's the end of the quarter, when everyone runs the iso, it really seemed to work out. you're basically judging the decision with perfect hindsight. every shot that misses shouldn't be taken with hindsight, but you have to do the right thing and hope it works.

Arggghhhh, no! Drive, dish the ball to somebody else who makes the layup or dunk.

Again, look at how the Sixers are playing Yao. Look at how everybody plays Yao. Look at the Utah game. Pull Yao out and make him commit then pass the ball so that he can't rotate and block the shot. Again, this is basic stuff.

Seriously, watch the Sixers and how they play Yao in the second half.

You know what? I prefer team ball and a lot of ball movement.

McGrady did not go up for a shot, he tried to pass. The point here is people are arguing that he went for a shot when he clearly tried to pass but was fouled.

This has nothing to do with the defense and rotation done on Yao. IT was a simple foul that prevented ANY play from happening.
