    quiet you...........

since the thread asks for our personal "greatest bands of all time"...... and after seeing everyone else's lists..... i'll put as little thought into it as possible and try not to be so objective:

    1) The Beatles
    2) Pink Floyd
    3) The Doors
    4) 13th floor elevators
    5) The Band
    6) Queen
    7) The Who
    8) Creedence Clearwater Revival
    9) Sly and the family Stone
    10) Led Zeppelin

    Leaving out individual musicians...

    Here's my top-tier bands:
    Pink Floyd
    Rush
    nine inch nails
    Led Zepppelin

And there's a gap between them and my 2nd-tier bands:
    The Eagles
    The Police

And there's an even bigger gap between them and my 3rd-tier bands:
    Van Halen
    u2
    Duran Duran

That's only nine. There are other bands that I like, but I wouldn't consider them in my top-10.
    Bands such as...

    AC/DC
    The Cult
    Crystal Method
    Steve Miller Band
