Houston wins they get an expiring contract and get rid of 2 years of regret.

Another guy who has to have the ball in his hands to be effective.

It depends how you value tmac's passing skills. AI moves better, attacks better, gets more repects from the refs. If we do this trade, we need a tall PG. Artest for Captain Kirk.

If T-Mac regains form next year whoever gets him. If not, then of course, AI for the shorter contract.

T-Mac overall is the superior talent IF he hasn't lost his game. I personally think this year is shot but I don't know what next year will look like yet when it comes to T-Mac.

I would rather not dream about T-mac ever coming back. I would trade him if it were up to me. I'm tired of this experiment and Yao isn't getting any younger. We have decent role players, lets see if T-mac can net us anybody.

Detroit does, we get stuck with 2 points guards in the backcourt (just like the pistons had with AI and stuckey) and that won't work. Detroit doesn't lose a pg since they have stuckey and have a swingman who can pick up minutes behind rip and prince, so he fits better.

    Iverson atleast still attacks.

This is the only (attainable) guy I would move McGrady for.

AI is a loser ...but so is TMac.

    AI has a shorter contract.
    AI attacks the rim.

    ...so I'd do it.

what role does AI play in this "motion offense."

alston would be rolling in his grave if this trade was to happen.

That depends, it is only good if Tmac is done, and we can use AI's contract in THIS offseason to get someone like Bibby.

tmac will never be anywhere near as good as he used to be,hes exactly half of what he used to be now. Half of his vertical gone, half of his speed is gone, half of his quickness is gone and half of his heart is gone. A.I. hasn't declined one bit he still has the same speed, maybe he lost a few inches on vert but he still dunks and he has all the heart in the world. He's struggling this year but i know he'll pick it up soon, its not like he had a big injury or anything.

If TMac can ever become healthy again, he's a better player than an aging Iverson. AI needs the ball in his hands to be effective, which is why he's struggling in Detroit. If you think Tmac and Ron kill the motion offense, why would you want AI?

Just like last years thread about tmac for kobe.

This year is tmac for ai.

My answer is still YES. Do the trade now. Do not regret it because AI will be expiring and who knows what he'll bring to this team with yao and ron. He also attacks the basket relentlessly which is THUMBS UP for me.
