Just skimming the front page of the forum and you can see all the negativity and pessimism festering. I think once in a while we need to have a more positive outlook on our season and our lives in general. Look at some of these topics: Trade dealines Hate of T-Mac Artest is killing the offense/Artest+TMac Ron being shopped Stop shooting 3s Yao should play in the 2nd unit I mean, COME ON! We're only halfway through the season and we're in much better position than we were last year at this time. We havent even had time to get our projected starting 5 some on-court chemistry. Our coach is awesome, our GM is fantastic and Yao Ming's injury was minor at best. We DONT need a major overhaul of roster or strategy or coaching. Everything is finally coming together. Just CHILL OUT! Jesus, you guys sound like a bunch of kids asking mommy and daddy "ARE WE THERE YET?!" Things take time; you cant expect great things without some PATIENCE. I know we're all eager to see what this team can do, but I think the more rational and sensible posters on this board (i.e. ME) would really appreciate it if we werent bombarded with DOOMSDAY threads every single day or everytime something doesn't go according to plan. The season is far from over. Instead of demanding trades to blow up the roster, let's just wish for good health when playoff time rolls around. This team WILL be ready!
How can this team be ready for the playoffs when they take days off, whether it is due to health or their unwillingness to play team ball. To be ready, you have to get a chemistry going. To get a chemistry going, you have to play hard within the coach's system every single game.
This is a BBS dude. I guarantee you if you go to a Lakers board, even they'll have plenty of threads wanting to trade Odom, Fisher, etc. Fans will always want to vent, and thats why they come here.
True, but for some reason I don't think all the planners and architects were constantly out on injury or just doing whatever they wanted in spite of the the master design. There's a metaphor in there somewhere.
lol I have to say... yall really took this thread to a new level... good stuff. To the OP... I don't think we are ALL panicking, but there is reason to be concerned. I do have faith in our guys to make it work. They need a good little stretch at home, which is upcoming, where they can all be healthy, all practice together and get this show ready for the long haul.
A lot of smartasses here. Either create threads talking about how hopeless and *****ty this team is, or prepare to be flamed and ridiculed
The problem is this isnt a group built around a young core that just got together and has many good years left to gell. The "stars" are veterans who may only have this one year to "build rome". In the past it was easy to argue that the supporting cast was lacking, but I don't believe that to be the case this year. This year the supporting cast is more than sufficient, but the "stars" collectively have been disappointing, particularly Tmac and Artest.
