NOw alot of us have heard the James might ditch Highschool and go to Italy to play pro ball over there. If he comes to that decision soon. Could he Sign With Italy? Then enter his name in the draft this year, and come over here when he contract runs out in Italy. I dont know if he can do this but I think it would be cool if it happened. If it was possible maybe we could get him and wait for the next KObe
Monk, there's no way James can become a Rocket using that route. But please, James is not the next Kobe. The beauty of sports is that it's comparable to art. New athletes enter the public arena to create their own styles just as artists appear on the scene to create new art. Please no more the "next Kobe," the "next McGrady," the "next Jordan," ad nauseum. I have a close friend in Utah who hopes the Jazz draft Dan Dickau because he is the "next Stockton" and another outside of Cleveland who calls Diop "baby Shaq." This diatribe is not meant to reflect badly on you, Monk, because a lot of posters, including me, are guilty. That said, let the newcomers create their game anew so we as fans can "ooh and ahh" the sport with continuing awe. Otherwise, we all find ourselves in "Yeah, right, I've seen that before" boat with no reason to watch or emulate.
What James could do is, enter the draft, get drafted. Then go to Italy, while the team drafting him retains his rights. Of course he can't enter the draft this year...
