    same feeling here.

without those two, we have motion offense.

Why do NBA teams have to play players making more money? Wafer deceived more playing time, but that was given to Artest and Tracy. If Wafer played last few minutes instead of Rob, Rcokets would have definitely won this game.

Our entire starting 5 was bad tonight.

Scola was the only one that had a decent game. His offense was fine but he got abused by David Lee, especially in the 1st half.

Scola and Landry are both poor defensive players. They both need to improve that part of their game more than anything else.

To all the posters say this team need tmac and artest to close the game ...

yes yao is a big man, in today's nba we need guards to close the game, trade tmac/artest for some second tier guards who should be 5 times better than wafer

I am sure Yao would very much like to play as traditionally a win on the First Day of the Year of Ox would mean the best greeting and luck to his fans.

Part of the problem was the timing of Yao going out when the 2 (what, are they siamese?) Mac and Artest came back at once, so Artest was forced to start rather than come off the bench. Maybe Yao being in there would change the whole complexion of the x's and os.

I don't see how Artest/Battier/TMac are all going to be in there at the end of games along with Yao and whoever. If that's the case, who is going to be the 5th guy? Whoever's playing well? It's between a PG and a PF.

You can't blame Adelman. Everytime we say he should have put in the backups because they can actually run the motion offense. Yes, this is true. No one is arguing that our offense runs so much more smoothly with the bench players. But how many more excuses are we going to make for this team? You cannot expect the Rockets to contend for a title against the elite teams in the NBA if we can't even trust or rely on our superstar players in the 4th quarter.

Adelman recognizes this problem. He realizes that if he put in the backups we probably would've won all those games we lost as a result of poor execution down the stretch. But as a head coach of a team that is supposedly contending for a championship, he knows that the only way to improve the struggles with offensive execution is to continue to play them in the 4th quarter, hoping that they finally learn how to execute. Whether they do or not will decide if the Rockets can contend for a championship.

All ron and tray want to do is shoot practice three pointers.

Ron doesn't even play defense anymore

In the second unit, Barry was very good at communicating to his younger teammates on where to go on the offense. Basically, it seemed he made sure players were running Adelman's offense, as much as the point guards were.

I didn't notice such consistency or cohesiveness with the starters.
