Adelman Thread -- Remember why we brought him here

That's Red and he's on the logo, Phil Jackson is in top five though.

I really believe in coach Adelman, he has so many games under his belt, he led Blazers to the Finals, Kings deep to the playoffs and is respected around the league.

I'm just afraid that some role players are going to be afraid when the playoffs come similar like Luther Head (oh where is that guy?).

 

The Team Concept - Adelman is instilling this in Rox, but it cannot be forced - the players must 'buy into it.' And there are many signs that they have. It can be seen in the way Brent Barry was a coach on the floor early in the season to Brooks, in the way Artest has taken Wafer under his wing, in the way the Rox hudle on the floor in between possessions to discuss missed assignments (not hanging their heads, but getting better). But the number one thing that this team needs to buy into is ball movement (which they look amazing when they execute and woeful when they don't). We are seeing improvement, as well as ebbs and flows. But once the players completely buy into Adelman's system (and, thus, avoid performances like those against Indiana and Knicks) Rox will go far.

 

NO WE CAN'T BECAUSE HE IS NOT DOING A FANTASTIC JOB AT ALL!!! he has made so many horrible moves throught this season i lost count.

 

I don't think this team would work for JVG, one ill-advised-freelance-shooter in TMac was enough for him, Artest would have pushed JVG over the cliff with his bad shot selection.

For whatever the reason, I just don't get the feeling that this team has the right mix. It's up to Adelman to fix it. People remember Adelman's offense with the Kings and the Blazers, but those two teams have athletes who enjoys cut & slash, this Rockets team get none of that.

At the end of the day, I predict Adelman will prove to be the wrong coach for this team.

 

That's what I've been saying for all these wannebe motion experts. If you want to run that 5 man offense, you need triple threat players and the rox don't have enough. They need more slash,cut,pass,shoot,dribble, finish guys. Of the categories I just listed, how many rocket players can do that.
