19 minutes...6 pts in a playoff game??? Raptors lose. That's sad.

I know some were hoping for Dream to flip a magic switch but it ain't gonna happen.

    os

PS YES, I know what he did for the Rockets and this city and I appreciate him for that so don't even start.

From what I saw he didn't play that bad.

The thing is that Dream isn't used to being a role player.

The Raps guards have been terrible at feeding the post in this series. Dream could have easily scored 20 in game 1 and 15 in tonite's game if they just got him the ball in the right place.

really, i have to give hakeem a little bit of credit, but there is NO WAY the Raptors would have ever won the title, with or without Vince.

    I smell a buyout of Hakeem's contract.

All six were crucial fourth quarter buckets that helped to keep the Raptors in the game. Hakeem has been coming off the bench and doing his best, but the Raptors are, once again, using him as a last resort. Criticize Hakeem all you want, but it's tough to score if you don't touch the ball.

Lenny Wilkins and the Raptor guards clearly have no conception of how to integrate a center into the offense. Hakeem would have averaged 15 points this season if he had been used correctly, just as he would have if Rudy hadn't taken half a season to come to his senses last year. Unlike Rudy, Wilkins still hasn't figured it out.

What do you expect Hakeem to do? He works his ass off getting good post position, calls for the ball, and what does Alvin Williams do? He jacks up a three with a hand in his face and 12 seconds on the shot clock.

The man is knocking down the open jumper (when the Raptors actually create one for him, since they won't give him the ball in the post), playing solid defense, and rebounding. Despite his inept teammates, I have enjoyed seeing him play in the post season once again. It's where he belongs.

Add Lenny Wilkens to my official hate list! The guy is a MORON!

Gee I wonder if Behad will be here to defend the great Lenny Wilkens over our Hakeem?

I am just waiting for Hakeem to complain publicly about his role again.

Hakeem is actually playing quite well. Detroit is somewhat worried Toronto will figure this out and use him. As the others have said, Toronto's friggin clueless on how to make an entry pass and their coaching staff is clueless on how to use their players most effectively in the post.

ZRB is right. They use Hakeem like a spare tire when its needed or when it is already to late.
Hakeem take there buyout offer resign with Houston and go out a winner not a whiner

I thought AD has been doing quite well in the post for Toronto, in fact better than I have ever seen AD play for anyone. Hakeem is doing the best he can, but would you really rather put the ball in the low block right now in Hakeem's hands over AD's? If you say yes I think you have been watching too many videos from 7 years ago. He is a decent back-up right now (certainly better than Montross whose minutes Hakeem seems to be getting in the important games for the Rapters), but that is it. The Raptors may not be 100% using what he can give, but ya'll are way overestimating what he can provide and the limitations he brings. Going with AD and Keon puts out a faster, quicker, better team. Hakeem now is the "change up" and does get a few looks and a few plays--not all that unreasonable of a role for him now.

AD has been shooting virtually all jumpers. Very little post play from him (although he's one of the few Raptors playing well). Keon Clark has basically put up all eggs in the stat columns in 6 of the 8 quarters played in the series. He was a total not factor in the first game and in the second (and decisive) half of the second game.

Meanwhile, Olajuwon has consistently gotten position and, when given the ball, good looks in the post.

Maybe Hakeem sucked all regular season long, but he's been putting in good minutes and not getting rewarded in the playoffs while his team is getting sent packing.
