I don't know the answer to this question but for some reason it is bugging me.

What NBA player has played in the most reagular season games in one season?

An example of what I mean:

I know Chris Gatling played in total of 85 games in 1990, 45 for Orlando and 40 for Denver.

That's crazy that there was a 6-game differential in those teams schedules. I guess it would be the same as if we were to have traded Luther Head or someone to the Hornets earlier this month when we had played 5 more games than them, but 5 games is the most I remember.

all three got traded from Portland to go on and win rings in their first season with their new teams...

    Thompson>Spurs>Lakers '87
    Clyde>Rockets '94
    Sheed>Atlanta (one game)> Pistons '04

I don't know if any other players got traded mid-season and won a ring at the end of the year...

    anyone?

    Sam Cassell last year?

It seems like it wouldn't be that uncommon of a thing.

It has to be Rick and Brent because Rick scored more than Kobe.

I've been brewing that around my head since before Boston won last year. Good one with Sam, but I can't think of any more mid-season trades that led to a ring...

as far as father-son duos, is it the Walton's? The Guokas?
