Who's the best? Tough question. I dare you to name all left handed players in the NBA. That's because you don't know who is left handed until you watch them play. It doesn't say anything about their prefered hand on their profile or anything.

Here are the few I know of:

    Zach Randolph
    Troy Murphy
    Josh Smith
    Derek Fisher (?)

And that's all I can name. Please help me fill out this list. I'm curious to know who's the best. Out of the above list, I would say it's Josh Smith.

Side note: Left handed players look so weird and awkward when shooting, right?

Shame on everyone for not mentioning Cuttino Mobley. I don't care that he's retired. :( (Edit: thank you Shaunjon)

    Additional mention for Moochie Norris.

Andris Biedrins, Brandon Wright, Anthony Randolph, and Marcus Williams all of whom play for the Warriors. Wang Zhizhi when he was still in the NBA, who was also a Warrior in summer league one year.

Oops, I guess I missed a lot of big names on my first list. I have no excuse for not listing guys like Mobely, Odom and Ginobili there.

Well, according to statistics, approximately 7-12 % of humans are left handed.
    http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_percentage_of_the_human_population_is_left_handed
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left-handedness

And there are a maximum of 450 players on the NBA rosters.
    http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_total_number_of_players_in_the_NBA

So, if you believe in statistics, and believe that the NBA has an evenly distrubuted sample of human beings (i.e. left handeds are just as athletic, or have the same basketball skills as right handeds), and you also believe 450 players a large enough pool,

then, there should be approximately 43 left handed NBA players. Go ahead and do the math yourself...

So far we, have name 16 left handed NBA players on this thread. Who are the rest?

    Lebron James is left handed.

I remember hearing he eats and writes with his left hand but he plays ball as a right hander, which could explain his ability to finish effortlessly with either hand.

    http://www.apbr.org/lefties.html

List isn't quite up to date, as I know Michael Beasley is another lefty.

From that list, additional lefties currently in a rotation (I'm not checking to see if Calvin Booth is riding the pine somewhere or not):
    Mike Conley
    Darko Milicic
    CJ Miles
    Morris Peterson
    Salim Stoudamire (and Damon)
    Delonte West
    Thaddeus Young
