see Jeff Garcia, Brett Favre, Kurt Warner, good veteran quarterbacks with a chip on their shoulder and something to prove are a huge asset on the field and in the locker room McNab is a leader, a winner, has always been a winner, and he deserves a better city to play for than ungrateful Philly. We would be crazy not to go for him, but he probably wants to play for a contender.
Are you kidding me...Of course, but I don't think he'll come to Houston...Still missing some pieces, although, one could argue we have the RB and WR he needs...Maybe he's the missing piece...
I would rather the Texans spend their money on areas that are definite concerns. QB isn't really one. That said, it would be wise to at least look into the possibility.
No, only because it would commit us to a lot of money at the QB position and give us a QB controversy.
I'd prefer Terrell Suggs. Suggs is 2 years younger and might be a little less expensive. He's a free agent, but word is he might get franchised.
Yup! And the Blazers should've taken Dream or Jordan. May I invite you to join us in 2009? Exciting times: the Texans might finally win 9 or more next winter, and inaugurated our first non-anglo President today. Good times.
huh?... re: peppers... he's going to cost you the 15th pick (for starters; likely more), top of the first round money (he wants to paid; he's already turned down deals worth $13M/year) - the guy's 29 years old; not ancient but not young, either. and while his agent has said it's not about the money, it's about winning... well, the carolina panthers were an OT away from being the top seed in the NFC this year and 8 quarters away from being in the super bowl for the second time in 5 years. i can't imagine he'd want to come to the texans and be second-fiddle to mario williams. we had our chance in 2002 and he (somehow) didn't fit dom capers' precious system. i think this ship has sailed.
Yeah, the two aren't quite in the same league, I guess. The thing that is the most comparable between them is what I was pointing out: they are both in the past.
Consider the timing of the poll. Schaub was, I believe, just returning from yet another injury, Ric had dug up Schaub's college record and found he was a bit injury-prone there as well, and that was not far removed from the infamous Rosencopter incident. Perhaps a lot of voters at that time wanted any stiff in there other than what we had? I didn't vote at all. I knew I was too frustrated to make a reasonable opinion! I still don't think we know what we have in Schaub. We'll see next year.
I agree. We are losing Sage after this season so trade him and get what you can. There is still a question mark about Schaub. KK has two yrs under his belt and his ready to start. McNabb's health is a risk.
Agreed. My Concern when they got Carr was it was too much weight on a Young QB Rocket River Bust-Celli was another Mistake too
