I just want to make sure any other threads here won't mislead you on which Rocket made the starting team on the West.

    Yao an All-Star starter

Starting for the Western Conference in the All-Star Game is getting to be old hat for Yao Ming. On Thursday, he was announced as a starter for the seventh time. He did not play in 2007 because of a broken leg.

“It’s a lot of fun there,” Yao said. “Last year I had a lot of fun, and obviously, that was the best one in the last couple of years.

“I have to say that game is really too fast for me, the All-Star Game. I feel like I’m doing my running test out there. But you play with All-Star teammates, and that’s a good experience.”

For the stupid you know who fans,

this is just a fact post, cause some of the other posts here aren't factual.

This isn't an opinion this is a fact.

So don't blame me if only one Rocket made the starting lineup.

    It's Yao Ming.

I'm glad both T-Mac and Artest aren't starting and it wouldn't bother me if they were left off the team. We don't need those guys possibly getting hurt in an exhibition game. Heck I'm glad that Yao is the starter but it will be better for us if he doesn't play.

Even though McGrady should not be playing in this game, it is still ridiculous how David Stern thinks the best course of action is to rig the vote and mysteriously add an extra 150,000 votes to Chris Paul's tally. They could have merely allowed McGrady to sit out the game. It seems like every passing year we see more and more evidence of their propensity to simply bend and fudge things whenever the situation isn't going according to their preference.

Just another ding to the credibility of the National Basketball Association under David Stern.

who really felt like tmac earned an asg game appearance anyway. the "voters" got it right, and by voters, i mean the last minute manipulation by the league. second time in a row, but you know what....I completely agree with it.

yao has earned it every year.

I couldn't disagree more. There was no way in hell he should have beat shaq in his rookie year and Id be willing to argue that he shouldn't have gotten in until a while later. Now, there is no doubt he was the best center in the west, but his first year? you gotta be kidding me.

The NHL All-Star game is even worse when it comes to fan voting. Not one player from the top 2 teams in either conference got voted in as a starter.

It will be funny if the entire Rockets roster got voted in as Starters. David Stern is going to be like..."wtf?"

Yao is the only one on this team who deserves to be a starter in the AS game.

Chris Paul deserves to be in the all star game more than Tmac.
That makes me a crazy person right?
