Is MRI still necessary with negative X-ray?

I don't think so, I am surprised that Yao didn't play.

    Yes.

X-ray's will not show ligament damage.

don't think so, negative means no bone breaking, thus no need for MRI
so just few days rest he'll be fine, hell he can play the next game if he insist.

I would think it's only necessary if there are symptoms indicating it could be a ligament/tissue injury, better to be sure..

    LOL DaDa the doctor.

where do you get this stuff man?

Don't worry, we invented the MRI for no reason. There's no need for it with X-rays around.

It's just a big conspiracy to make more money for doctors.

It's pretty obvious that Yao's injure means Tmac and Ron are back. And when Yao is back, that means Tmac and Ron are back to injure list. SaME old same old story. This team is cursed...i told ya all.

    I speak no English.
Which one of those does Xray nagative mean?

Sign of bone crack - nagative
    or
The condition of his knee - nagative

Do you get an MRI everytime you bang your knee with another player?

I think they are just being cautious as they should be, but it didn't look all that serious.

It would have been stupid to send him out there and risk him in a regular season game that isn't critical. I'd rather have everyone healthy and error on the side of caution.

Yeah, but when they went to ice it down, I figured it was going to stiffen up on him......

Guess we shall see how long he is out, but I would not be surprised if he is playing Sunday, it didn't look all that serious.

Yao should sit a few games once Tmac and Ron come back. Yao always gets injured this time of year.

Exactly. The Rockets are trying to stay healthy for the playoffs.
