    Yes he if he chooses not to play he has to sit out the 1st game after the break.

    If he do play few games and choose not to play, it would be mad disrespectful to his fans(including me) who vote him in and also idc if i get bash for voting him in, but it's a all star game in which fan vote who they want to see.

    At least it's not as bad as the NHL All-Star game.

    Not one player from the top 2 teams in either conference got voted in as a starter, including last season's MVP, Alexander Ovechkin.

    That's what I thought. I don't know why everyone else is seeing it as him definitively saying he's not playing. He's just saying that's not what's important to him at the moment.
