Even though i dont beleive tmac SHOULD be starting, its irritating that the NBA continues to make itself more and more like a soap opra. Controlling virtually everything. The NBA is already known for having refs rigging games and punishing anyone who dares speak anything bad about the NBA. (JVG complaints and 100,000$ fine?) Now something as simple as all star voting is now meaningless. Why should we even bother to vote if they can just change the numbers to whatever they want? The NBA has done 2 years in row. To top it off they now allow journalist to post BOGUS articles just to make things intresting ala the YAO MING HATES TMAC article. The nba is just loosing all of its integrity and crediblity. In the next few years it should no longer be called a sport...more of entertainment. WWE anyone?

The conspiracy is that they switched the link to vote for Ron with Bowen's. It's like in that family guy episode when Peter goes in the voting booth and every time he clicks on Obama it's a vote for McCain. LOL

So Artest went from almost starting ahead of Dirk to being behind Bowen?

    Weird.

Is that posssible that they suddenly change the way they calculate the score? Like giving more weight to the American votes. :D

Maybe the coaches (or players) should pick the players rather than the fans.

If not, it's fine if the NBA wants to change the criteria, but if so, let's call it the "fan favorite" game rather the the All Star game.

Wafer deserves to be in this game more than T-Mac based on this season stats (let alone many more players on other teams) but if we are going to base it on the fan voting, then let's rename the game so there isn't confusion on who the real All-Stars (best players) are.

T-Mac should be a started but it wouldn't even matter. For him, for this team, the most important thing is to WIN something.

They just put Paul ahead, that is all.

There are many dumb things about the ASG. The dumbest is letting the fans stuff the ballot.

And the close second dumbest is categorizing positions into "guards" "forwards" and "centers." How can you play a starting lineup with two PFs and two SGs? It's like lumping quarterbacks, half backs, and full backs in one category and ending up with two QBs on your starting lineup. That is just a lack of fundamental basketball sense. It's embarrassing for a professional basketball league.

If they wanna rig the balloting, they should do it the right way and not with just the last all-star return like that. Even though I didn't vote in Tracy, he should be the starter. Whether he agrees or declines is up to him, and not the NBA. I'm not saying he deserves it, just that the fans deserve the player they voted for.

Excatly. Remember what Kobe did last year? He couldn't play so he was taken out of the game at the beggining. But he started because fans voted him in.

Something like that should happen with T-Mac this year. Fans made a choice, NBA cannot change it.
