??? I don't understand how this is "pointless"? So you're telling me that if you got the chance to unload Head and actually get something signigicant in return you wouldn't do it? With the way our scorers have been dropping left and right, I don't see why this wouldn't be done if possible.

I just don't get it, I hear everyone here say they wanna get rid of Lil Luther and the first chance you get you would say, pointless? I just don't understand why...

why people want to get rid or artest? He's the toughness we need on this team to compliment yao. How about T-mac and luther for micheal redd and charlie V.

    Clutch,

What made you think Miami, specifically?

Bringing in Marion wouldn't make much sense since we'd still have the same logjam at the forward positions.

And Miami has PG issues themselves so I don't think we would find our PG solution in a trade with them.

Who did you envision us getting in return?

Ron Artest, Joey Dorsey and Luther Head to Minnesota for Mike Miller, Rodney Carney and a 2nd Rounder on the 2/14/09.

Miller brings instant chemistry next to old teammates and friends TMac and Shane Battier. Having Mike Miller and Von Wafer come summertime makes it easier to part with McGrady if DM chooses such a direction.

PG: Rafer Alston | Aaron Brooks
SG: Tracy McGrady | Von Wafer | Brent Barry
SF: Shane Battier | Mike Miller | Rodney Carney
PF: Luis Scola | Carl Landry | Chuck Hayes
CN: Yao Ming | Dikembe Mutombo

he wouldn't get a chance to play here that's the only reason i said pointless. If he was getting playing time that's a great trade and id do it in a heartbeat, but why bring him in if we aren't going to use him, that reminds me of the gerald green trade and we ended up waiving him. He's not even shooting better than luther, imo id rather trade luther for something we can use right now, like sean williams

No thanks, I'd def. pass on Sean Williams. If the Bulls don't even want his dumb a$$ what makes you think Morey will.

I say we trade Luther for a pick if solo. If not package him with however else is on the block hopefully Shane he's suckin it up right now.

Probably already been suggested but I'd trade Ron Artest & Head for Richard Hamilton.

Good trade. make sense for both team. I am thinking the same thing. It all depends how good Carney is in both team's view. I think we can even dig Ron's value with another team seeking for a championship run like Detriot.

Hamilton has 4 years left on his deal....I would have to think long and hard about such a deal.

can raja bell be traded since he was recently traded? If so I'd love to see a raja bell/okafor/dj augustin for tmac/brooks or tmac/landry deal. We get our starting pg of the future, a solid 2 who can defend and hit the open 3 like we've needed all year hence why we're playing so well with wafer, and we get okafor who is from houston to be the bruiser alongside yao.Emeka would give us toughness we haven't had in a long time since OT and barkley and kevin willis days of the 90's. We lock-up ron longterm and ply a 3 big front court rotation with yao/emeka sliding to center occasionally and scola. Then in the summer we deal rafer as an expiring. Charlotte has been looking for star power since they came into the league and tmac would give them that, we've been looking for 2 guards who can hit open jumpers moreover a pg who can hit ft which is augustin since most of you feel brooks can't be a starter.

    Augustin/rafer
    bell/wafer/barry
    ron/landry
    okafor/scola
    Yao/deke

Clutch have you viewed many of the Miami games lately? I ask this as I have only viewed two in recent weeks and I am not seeing the Marion who used to play for Phoenix, only a shadow of his formerself and I am wondering about what advantage it wil be to having him instesd of Ron Ron?
I also mention at this point that Morey has run a tight ship and makes sure there are NO leaks! :p

Put me down for Artest for T. Prince if a deal is made. I think Harrington could also be a possibility. Luther or hayes could be the throw in just to make the money work.

ron's talent is one of a kind, you can't find someone else who has such an impact on both ends of the floor as him, DO NOT TRADE RON. That will be a huge mistake. If things start to get rough when everyone is fully healthy trade battier instead, maybe battier+?? for g-wallace, he brings almost the same D that battier does and hes great at attacking the rim i think he fits really good on this team

Don't worry. There's no way in hell Morey is going to trade Ron Artest. He put too much effort to get him on this team in the first place. He's not going to listen to you knee-jerk idiot who believe Wafer can continue to produce at this level for the rest of the season and into the playoffs.

The only player I'd trade at this point is Head, to free up cap space. The other candidate (Francis) is already gone. Morey = Money.

I am going with this one:

    Rockets Trade:
    - Tracy McGrady
    - Carl Landry

    Suns Trade:
    - Amare Stoudemire
    - Leandro Barbosa

It has just been reported that the Suns may be willing to trade Stoudemire and that they have been shopping Barbosa.

This will happen February 4th, 2009.

Come on now, Phoenix will not trade Amare to a team that they are competing with to make the playoffs. They definitely will not trade him for an aging Tracy McGrady.
