Shall we bring out the banners 'Clutch City' yet or is it too early ? :D
Yao's been great this year and has come through in the clutch. As a team we're pretty good at the end of the game (even though we might play terrible in the 4th quarter overall) and people are starting to hit tough shots. Yao @ Blazers, Wafer & Yao @ Boston, Battier vs. LA, Yao vs. Nuggets, Artest vs. Jazz and some others I might have missed (I know Rafer hit some clutch shots when needed). Also some defensive rebounds, steal and drawing charges, so overall defense is being played in the clutch moments.

So, is it time to bring Clutch City back ? With all the years of suffering injuries and first round losses it's time for something positive. With the easy schedule ahead is, with Yao playing almost like an MVP, with the emergence of Wafer and the possible return of Tracy and Artest we should turn the 98-08 era behind us. From 'Choke City' to 'Clutch City' and this year not Maxwell's 31 points in the 2nd half made it happen, but Yao's 31 against the Nuggets :).

Bring out the banner tonight against the Jazz and chant 'Clutch City' to make this city feel proud of the Rockets again !! We need more fire from the crowd like during the streak, maybe this is the way to do it.

To all the fans going to games, I can't because I live in Europe, especially the rowdies: start chanting and bring the banners !!

Good read, however Yao's still pretty far from being clutch...He hits some tough shots every now and then but like the other article says, he needs to be a closer for this team, a guy who dominates his opponents on a nightly basis.

Clutch City is not to be taken so lightly. It was the result of serious grit and resilience in an awesome group of players on a championship team on a huge stage. The result is the stuff of legends. What the rockets have been doing lately is good, it might be clutch, but its not "clutchcity" clutch.

Although I am not as optimistic like you, still nice to your post. :)
The team is fun to watch without Shemac, hope it still is after she returns.
