That is what I think a lot of people are missing, while his body may not transform in 10 days (most of us never thought he had an issue with his health anyway), his attitude can CERTAINLY change.

    And sometimes that is enough.

If Tmac believes his body can take it, and is more ready that is more than half the battle.

I am glad it happened in January.....it should have happened sooner.....BUT...better late than never I guess.

I responded to your Showtime Lakers pointing out that they had three hall of fame starters, including 1 top 1 or 2 at the position (Magic) and 1 top 5 center. Their other two starters are better than anyone on the Rockets save McGrady and Yao. Ron has to make some layups before I'll consider him better than Scott or A.C. Green.

So, my point is that superstars and Hall of Famers are what makes great teams. Average/good players no matter how well they gel don't win championships save maybe the Pistons, who probably won without a HOF player.

So, maybe I'm right only 97% of the time on this.

Showtime Lakers got beat by the twin towers. Thanks Ralph for being a warrior, we know your career ended because of injury, but we will always remember.

You know what I can't stand?

Losers hiding behind their computer keyboards and calling another man a "she".

Yeah, and in 87-88 those three Half of Fame starters (Magic, Kareem, Worthy) averaged LESS than 20 points a game. The had seven guys in double figures. They only had one player on the roster who averaged more than 20 ppg, Byron Scott. Those Hall of Famers didn't need to score a ton and they didn't because they distributed the basketball. One more time: those Hall of Famers didn't need to score a lot. That's team ball.

You can try and spin it any way you want to but you're dead wrong.

It's just a "Dream" that our current team could compete with the Showtime Lakers.

I disagree. T-Mac's rabid fans bring down the quality of this board, not guys like DD who a) is a real Rockets fan and b) actually knows something about basketball.

More posts like this please...it's a lot more fun for everyone on a fan site I suspect.

I bought about 7 copies of the first championship SI to give out to friends. Too bad we didn't draft Clyde with the third pick... though I guess we wouldn't have been bad enough to get Dream.

I agree. Calling a male quitter "she" is an insult to all the female creatures on earth.

Why would anybody have to hide? T-Mac's big but he doesn't exactly strike me as the kind of guy who could hang tough in a fight.

i agree. i was reading your post and found myself agreeing with a lot of it but i couldn't honestly take it seriously because of your constant, child-like name calling. if you want people to really take it seriously when you are trying to make serious points, you should leave the name calling out of it.

with that said, i agree with you for the most part. although i do think we should be more optimistic about TMac for now at least. i'm more worried about Adelman havin the backbone to take TMac out if he isn't playin well than i am about TMac's overall situation. if Adelman would have stepped up and taken him out when he was hurtin the team earlier, we would have some more wins under our belt

I'll give you DD (sometimes) and maybe two and three other people. But the rest really do bring down the quality of this board. How is supporting one of our players hurting this board as opposed to:

"Tracy McLady is puzzy. SheMac has a bigger vagina than VSPAN."

But yet, we're the ones bringing this board down because we don't rip T-Mac to shreds? FUNNY. Most, if not all of the people that still support T-Mac agrees that hes been playing like crap. We can still support him and hope for him to do better right? I mean, he is still a HOUSTON ROCKET last time I checked. Or is it too positive for yall to be supportive of EVERYONE on the team?

    Angkor,

Personally, I think we are all bringing it down with our arguing back and forth.

Not everyone simply cheers, many fans complain, it is all about how you root for a team.

But the point is that all the arguing is indeed, not a good thing....sometimes you just get caught up in proving a point or arguing that you miss the big picture.

For my part, I am sorry about that.

guys like the OP bring down this board. your maturity is in question when you can't even discuss something you don't want to talk about or dislike without calling names.

this is why forum sometimes look really bad.

criticism is fine and people can say whatever they want as long as they back it up. but name calling, really?

I think it is funny, that some people are being labeled "Real Rockets Fans." I have been a fan since I was in 4th grade. I guess that does not make me a real Rockets fan since I am still in my mid 20s. I personally like all of the players, whoever puts on a Rockets uniform I grow a deep respect for them. However like America's Constitution, a person is innocent till proven guilty, which is what my stance is on the Tmac issue. I believe him when he says he is hurt, only he knows what his body is going through. If the doctor/player/trainer says he needs time to get better and more I will believe them. I have no problem with "fans" criticizing a player. I do have a problem with people who think they know more about some other person with little to no contact with that particular person.

I completely understand if people take everything TMac says with a grain of salt. I also understand some people just don't like the guy, etc.

But the vagina stuff really needs to stop.
