to the 44 people who took tmac I would like to know where you buy your reefer from so I, too, can partake in some good stuff.
Maybe this will help with the decision on who to vote for. This clip has them going head to head. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/KoHt_oGftxc&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/KoHt_oGftxc&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
that reminds me of how much i miss the old tmac. kobe still kept up his level of performance and tmac... well, i just hope he can get back to 70% of his old form again.
kobe dislocated his finger and played through the pain yesterday...tmac on the other hand, would he do that? not to start a whole i love kobe thing but he played great defense against lebron and went superstar in the 4th...just saying
Maybe a better question would be - Yao & Kobe vs. T-Mac & Shaq? I remember the polls and although Kobe was down at the time (remember - No means No!) at least half this board (maybe more) thought T-Mac was our ticket to our next Championship. Obviously, that hasn't been the case (at least not yet), but would have LA made the Kobe for T-Mac trade knowing that Shaq probably would have remained in LA? Think about it - Kobe for T-Mac and Shaq (although they wouldn't have gotten Lamar Odom and friends from the Heat). Interesting scenario! I think that it's possible that Kobe for T-Mac & Shaq - (as he probably would have stayed) might have helped both franchises. Hind sight is 20/20 but what might have been is quite interesting. Not quite as interesting as Ralph Sampson for Clyde and the "pick for Jordan" but interesting nevertheless.
Hate to break it to you, but it was RODNEY McCray Sampson was going to be #1, he was unanimous like Tim Duncan. The Rockets had the #3 pick and they picked McCray over Clyde. Drexler didn't go til #14. So the lineup would have been Sampson Drexler Dream if Sampson never had that knee injury in Boston, that would have been "8 championships" - that's what Clyde told me
Actually, I wasn't referring to the McCray pick as that was a blunder skipping over Clyde (but we weren't the only team to make that mistake), but rather a possible trade with the Blazers for the #2 pick in the draft - which they used to pick Sam Bowie. I can't remember exactly where I read it maybe in Dream's autobiography (it could have been Rudy T's - as I read it a few years back) but the proposed trade was Sampson for Clyde AND the #2 overall pick in the draft (we already had #1 - which we used to pick Akeem). Obviously, we could have used that pick to grab Jordan instead of Bowie. We then could have had... Dream Jordan Clyde
You remember Sampson was an immediate all star and took us to the Finals in 1986. It was impossible to predict he had a career ending injury(ies) before that time. Clyde and Jordan play the same position so no GM do that. At that time, Jordan/Clyde were pretty much equals. I like the scenario where we draft Drexler and Sampson in the same draft. But then again, that Rockets team with Samspon/Clyde would be so good, we wouldn't get the #1 pick. The Dream. I'm perfectly happy with our two championships, the way the won them. Who we beat, the timing. For the city of Houston, we endured countless failures in sports and it was only fitting that those teams took us out of the dark.
You're in Cali dude. I need to go there and pick up some goods from those vending machines yall got. Oh yeah, let me borrow your card too.
wow, 35% of the people picked Tmac. The failure of the nation and the rest of the world is not a fake prophecy.
Tinman, we are talking about the morons who actually think TMac in Orlando > Shaq in Orlando. How pathetic it is.
Hey now, I'm just about the smartest man alive but these are the reason I picked T-Mac: 1. He plays for the Houston Rockets. I'm a huge homer, so kill me. 2-10. I hate Kobe and he never played for Houston. (No, I don't think T-Mac is better than Kobe so get that stick out your ass before you try and flame me for answering a hypothetical question.)
