Ray Allen lol. Did you watch Ray Allen ballhandling skills and his ability to get his own shot in the earilier part of his career. Love Von Wafer game just is a little streaky and needs to work on his ballhandling and some post moves before he becomes a true elite player in the league.
woooooo lets not get carried away von is legit but ray allen is jesus (love in basketball) (ive been high on him ever since he came to the rockets) with that being said, wafer is playing fantastic basketball right now . hes really taking the role of the offensive go to guard that we need but please believe when tracy gets healthy von should def be coming off the bench. von has a lot to learn and even though tmac is never healthy i still believe tmac (when healthy) is one of the best players in the league. Even if tmac never gets fully healthy i think he should still start when hes ready to play. von should take time to really start building a relationship with yao, if yao and von can learn to help each other out than i dont see why he cant be our starter in years to come but in the mean time the rockets need to make sure to lock up von for the years to come
last season i said we needed a Finley, James Posey, or Corey Magette type player, someone who could hit the 3 and slash from the perimeter. Von Wafer is that guy.
Totally agree. I think the title of this thread should be changed to Von Wafer is a poor man's JR Smith. It will be crazy if Rockets will sign Wafer for more than 3 million a year. I don't understand why a lot of fans here can not see some obvious things. First and formost, the rockets have TMac, Artest, Shane, and Barry in the SG/SF position, and now they are trying Landry at SF. If no one is going to be traded, then once everyone is back, where is Wafer's minutes? If Wafer's not going to play extended minutes, why would they spend 5 million on him?
