dang i thought you meant you saw novak somewhere.

he has been getting some PT lately on the clippers with all the injuries they have been having.

he could have been a great situational player here with all the attention yao, artest and mcgrady get if the team kept him.

sigh hopefully he is able to get a contract in the offseason he is a FA after all

he is a great shooter and great person but he just never fit in. he couldnt be our matt bullard because his 3 was not as consistant. altho he did get that HUGE game winner against the kings

Just by the percentages, he shot the 3 much better than Bullard did as a Rocket.

True. I think his problem (on offense) was that he attempted too few shots. It was like he wasn't willing to shoot unless he was completely wide open. If there was a defender anywhere near him, he wouldn't shoot it.

Doesn't this belong in the "Early MVP Rankings" thread?

The replay to this game was on TV late last night, fell asleep to it.
    Postives:
Novak (w/ slight BEARD) is an oustanding shooter. He sank a couple 3's off the catch & shoot with his body moving, like it was coach tossing to him in pregrame warmups. Even hit one with a man right in his face. Wouldnt doubt he could shoot at least 33% 3's just hoisting em no conscious even when covered. He really should be entered in the 3 point contest.

    Negative:
Same stuff. Great guy, really like him....but I managed for once to see what everyone was talking about with his bad defense. As soon as checks in, seems right away whoever he's guarding starts getting buckets down low. His presence seems to make the whole defense flimsy. Its like they'll give up points in consecutive defensive possesions before they get a chance to get him a 3 on the offensive end.

Go here and keep pressing the back previous arrow. Unfortunately half the pics are him getting scored on. But he doesnt have the full beard YET.

Deandre Jordan, raw but has noticable NBA body and athleticism. Low BBall IQ, bad hands & shooting, yadda yadda ...but yyyeaah he could be a backup to Yao even raw as-is.

he needs to improve his quickness and perimeter defense. when barry retires, novak will be a good pickup. with that said, im a novak fan and i would love to see him back in houston.

What are you talking about? His 3 was very consistent. If anything it was his lack of defense... scratch that, his non-existent defense.

I was going to start a thread concerning Steve Novak's midseason report, but since someone started this thread concerning him, I'll issue the report here.

So far, he has played in 31 of the Clippers' 41 games, and is averaging 4.4 PPG in 10.8 MPG, and his FG percentages are 45 percent overall (49-109) and 41.6 percent (32-77) from beyond the 3-point arc and has made all 6 of his free throws he attempted this season. A couple of other stats of note are that he's averaging 1.2 RPG, and blocked a total of 2 shots thus far.

he hit a clutch three to give the Clips some distance against the Thunder, he is a very capable shooter.
