MLK day is my favorite regular season day in the NBA because of the day-long slate of games being offered. so far, Philly is starting off strong against the Mavericks, did anyone think they would be this good without Elton Brand? does Charlotte have a shot against the Spurs? they are currently on a three game win streak with solid wins against playoff bound teams. other games today include Pacers @ Hornets, Suns @ Celtics, and Cavs@ Lakers
ugh. spurs and mavs both will their teams to two point victories. pacers still have a chance to take out the hornets
wow..all 5 games finished today are really close games.. biggest difference was Knicks and Bulls 4 points
Dirk's shot at the buzzer made me sick. But that's NBA basketball. I hate that it was the Mavericks but I love buzzer-beater shots by road teams. Don't know why.
Can you believe that shot by Chris Paul? Oh brother! This must be the day for everyone in our division to win at the last second. WOW.
Just noticed that Dirk made a buzzer beater to win the game...this must be a first in a career full of late game chokes.
Yes. They set a pick for Chris Paul and for some reason Troy Murphy backed off. Looked like he thought Paul would drive, I don't know why he would think that.
Looking forward to the Cavs/Lakers and Suns/Celtics games, although I wish they weren't in L.A. and Boston, as they somehow always seem to be
I just realized both the Clippers and the Lakers are playing home games today. How the hell are they pulling that one off?
Well, the biggest obstacle is the court, and if I remember correctly, it takes about 4 hours to swap them out. With one game at 12:30 and the other game at 7:30, they've got about 4 and a half hours (if you leave 2.5 hours for the first game to be played). It's close, but doable.
there are a few games this year where both the clippers and lakers play on the same day. usually the clippers play an early afternoon/late morning game and as soon as the game ends the do have to scramble to change the courts....todays game wont be an issue because i believe the clippers game may have ended around around 230pm or so and the laker game tonight starts at 730 so they probably want the lakers court ready by 530. also they have to change the seats as well. there are different seat configurations I believe in the lower bowl for the lakers games to allow more seats and so forth behind the basket. (these seats are fold down chairs)
By no means am I pinning the entire 30 point halftime deficit on him, but Amare should be slapped in the back of the head by Terry Porter. He's not even trying and it's obvious. Perhaps he injured.
