0-10 for nobody to somebody Harris is like 5-7, Von Wafer is like 0-5, Wafer's growth is like indefinite. If Rox can go deep in playoff, and Von keeps play like this, yes, he is the winner with no doubt!!!!
Harris was explosive last year after the trade. Guys like Harris, Granger, etc should not be in the running IMO. Who won last year? Was it Gay or something? It was a sophomore. Sophomores should also be excluded as they should be excepted to improve. Todays game is a reminder of who really deserves this award. Chris Anderson.
(1) Devin Harris (2) Danny Granger (3) Rodney Stuckey (4) Rajon Rondo (5) Paul Millsap (6) NeNe (7) Andris Biedrins (8) Troy Murphy (9) David Lee (10) Chris Duhon
Rajon Rondo? He only improved his assist (but who wouldn't with 3 superstars) but everyone else i can agree, maybe not Troy Murphy but i would put Duhon a little higher. I would put Wafer on this list as well, if he keeps performing the way he is currently.
I think anyone watching Rajon Rondo, even casually, will notice how much his game has developed. His shooting isn't much better, but his abilities as a point guard, i.e. setting the tempo in the half-court offense, leading the break in transition, making solid decisions and using his penetration ability to break down the defense... After Devin Harris, I don't think there's another point guard in the East Coast that has made more improvements... not Jose Calderon, not Jameer Nelson... and I think Derrick Rose is still behind. The point I'm trying to make is that Von Wafer isnt in my top 10. I don't even think Jameer Nelson is in the top 10 and I would take him over Von Wafer for most improved.
Von Wafer Most Improved? Im not trying to jinx him or anything but i think if he keeps on dropping around 12 to 15 points do you guys think he can be a serious contender for the award . Discuss.
there is thread already for this first of all and second Danny Granger is doing a whole lot better and also you have Devin Harris making some noise in NJ
I would put Nelson ahead of Harris and Granger - both of those guys are scoring more because they are taking more shots - neither one is actually shooting the ball at a higher percentage. Nelson is shooting at a higher percentage... What make Von Wafer a compelling case is that he was a nobody a year ago. A guy who's been in the league for a few seasons that didn't do anything. Not just an up-and-coming player who's growing into his own. I think it's compelling, and if he can average 10-13 points and play in a lot of games even with T-mac back then he has a legitimate shot.
