    Chuck Hayes!

Ok unfortunately, I work graveyard shift and just woke up (damn alarm clock). The first couple plays I see is Scola making a nice layup like he does then Wafer with a fade-a-way to close the gap to 85-87 (Denver). Then with a chance to tie the game Rafer shoots with 20 secs on the shot clock. Now I dont know if I am more pissed I miss like almost 3 quarters of the game or that Rafer did something that stupid (20 sec left????).

So I came to a conclusion that if he is to remain a starter with starter minutes he should play the Chuckwagons role. A defensive player first....scratch that, only, a defensive player only (although the Chuck will shoot some stupid shots too which makes them identical!)

Now the question is when can he start.

Without Rafer we would have been blown out from the start... He was on fire in the first half... played badly on offense in the second half but his overall play was great! He played REALLY good defense on Billups...

His shot was bad near the ending but still people just want to bash him even when he has good games.

Rafer was decent this game. Hate all you want, but without him we would have lost. Handily.

I believe he can play good defense. But I made it a point to mention I missed a lot of the game. Big reason for me to bring this up is because I see it game in, game out. I was actually a big Rafer defender during the off season but start loosing that faith with his inconsistencies ( I was hoping he would get better like he did last year) but I always gave him credit on defense even though he has a lot of flaws there as well.

Now this really good defense probably left his shooting in the first half as well though cause Billups was killing it when I woke up....

well let me slap him on his arse and say GG. I truly did wish I saw the whole game, maybe I would have a better debate but just from what I saw he missed everything he attempted and made poor offense decisions. Apparently he did have a good FIRST half, GG, but his usual inconsistent form showed back up at the 2nd half??? (I'm asking here).
And I wasnt too impressed with his defense from where I started watching either.
I must say though I am happy with his assist number. I've been saying he has NO reason for his assist average to jump up this year.

Yeah i am a huge Rafer defender basically because I like the way he take control when he's on the floor. He really lit it up in the first half and played good defense throughout the game holding Billups to 3-12 causing 6 TO from Billups.

He had a great game if you look at the stats - but even if i dont look at the stats i saw the whole game and he was impressive. Hopefully he can swing his season around starting with this game.

    His stats btw: 18 pts, 7-15 FG, 3-7 3pt, 11 assist / 1 steal/ 0 turnover in 36 min.

thats one thing Rafer hasnt messed up, his TO rate but if he can become more consistent it would only bring good things especially if he isnt tradable
