Well they opened with alot of questions. Looks to be pretty good so far. so . . . .. Spoiler Apollo's Ex doing herself was CRAZY! It shocked me. It was a nice BOLD move to shock you back into the season. If Tigh's Wife is #5 what the hell is Starbuck? I am getting the feeling that all of them are Cylons. Just different types. QUESTION: When did they learn to tell the difference between Cylon bones and human bones? I thought the 'test' didn't really work. If the 13th tribe were all Cylons . . . . maybe they were working with the humans. . . what changed. I need to refresh my knowledge on the series. . .cause i did not know the Cylon war went back 2000 yrs. I thought the ideal was that the cylons did not know about the 13th tribe [at the beginning] Looks like it will be a good season. Rocket River
Spoiler It was really shocking to see Dee kill herself. When she took off her ring she had this look on her face that made me think she was plotting something, but it just came out of nowhere. I was also starting to think that maybe they're all cylons I can't wait for the last few episodes.
I think Starbuck is Tigh and Blonde's kid... She gets reborn just like Tigh and the final five. I think the two sets of hybrid kids are like Adam and Eve and ultimately are responsible for repopulating the world. Cylon and Human alike can't mend their differences and end up annihilating themselves again and again and again. A theory. theSAGE
i feel better knowing i'm not the only one that watches this show. =) It's up there with How I met your mother, tied.
they've lost a lot of momentum with the long long breaks, but once you get into it, it picks back up again. great start to the season. now for some more Gaius (my favorite character) and we're good to go.
Are spoilers necessary? Maybe there should be a disclaimer at the top for episodes that have already been played I think they added 2 more episodes for the long break, so it could be 11 left.
anybody else think the whole "who is the final cylon" was a bit too gimmicky? what the hell did it even matter who the final one was?
I'm presuming at this point that we don't need any spoilers. Here's my theory. The Final Five Cylons are all that is left of the original humans from Earth. At some point one of them figured out how to download themselves and saved his or her best friends. The 12 Colonies that went onto space were originally robots created by humans on Earth who rebelled and destroyed Earth. Those robots themselves eventually became humanoid and moved out into space. The final five Cylons followed the colonists out to space and eventually created the current Cylon robots knowing that they would also eventually become humanoid and avenge the destruction of humanity on Earth and then repopulate original humanity. I think the idea of Starbuck being reborn is that her model is one of the original humanoid models of the first robots created on Earth. Originally there were 12 humanoid models that became the 12 colonies such as how the Cylons in the current day only have 12 models. Those figured out how to reproduce and became genetically divers. Somewhere on Earth though is an original resurection hub that the survivors of the destruction of Earth used to downlod themselves but also that the first humanoid robots used also. Once they find the hub they will find a reborn Tigh's wife there and every thing will come full circle that everyone is some sort of Cylon.
I was kind of let down on the reveal of the last Cylon that theyve hyped up forever. But Dee taking herself out was surprising and the Starbuck has me seriously scratching my head... Good start, though.
I'm sure the final Cylon will have more relevance as the season heads toward the end. Dee taking herself out was like a punch in the gut, totally didn't see it coming. Can't think of another show where deaths have as much impact as this show. As someone mentioned above I think this has been the best show on TV since it started, great great TV.
